Hey. Thanks for the great tutorials.
However, I am having a problem with adding a food.
Whenever I add a food, it is added to the game perfectly, but it is inedible.
Here is the code:
package net.minecraft.src;
import java.util.Random;
public class mod_hashbrowns extends BaseMod{
public static final Item uncookedHashBrown = new ItemFood(610, 1, true).setItemName("uncookedHashBrown");
public static final Item hashBrown = new ItemFood(611, 4, true).setItemName("hashBrown");
Hey guys! I found a really cool piece of code in the Block class! I was looking at the stuff below the list of blocks, and I found this.
public float slipperiness;
this.slipperiness = 0.6F;
Evidently 0.6 is the default slipperiness of a block. BUT...
You can actually change this in your Block**** class! example:
public BlockAccelerator(int par1, int par2)
{
super(par1, par2, Material.rock);
this.setCreativeTab(CreativeTabs.tabBlock);
this.slipperiness = 6F;
}
This can allow you to make custom accelerators/decelerators! It's how ice gets to be slippery! (Ice slipperiness value is 0.98F is you're interested) Cool, eh?

thanks in advance.
Three things that would be nice to know:
-In the item creation tutorial, you don't say anything about the Item*** class, but you mention it in the creative menu tutorial. What goes in it?
-How do you create items/blocks with multiple damage values?
-Also, how do you get blocks to drop XP?

These tutorials don't seem to work with 1.4.7. When I try changing the item ID's after getting a "java.lang.Exception: No more empty item sprite indices left!" error, it still does not work. here's the full error report:

mod_rawCardboard:
ItemRawCardboard:
mod_rawCardboard.RawCardboard.itemID
Just replace "item.rawCardboard" with this in any spots. Also. Fix any misspellings I did for that.
Thanks, works so far.
mod_rainbow:
WorldGenRbowtree
BlockRbowLeaf
