When I do BaseMod then it says the random is incorrect.
Hmm.... check your capitalizations and stuff. Other than that, I dunno. I also wish you would use [c ode]. It would make it much easier to see what was wrong.

Awesome tutorials, though there is one thing missing that I'd like to request, how do we make blocks that interact with redstone? Such as being powered, or receiving power?

Do you guys know how to add a block with multiple textures. I need a top side and bottom. You all seem to know what you are talking about and I hope you can help me. Thank you

When I reobfuscate my mod and want to use it do I just put it in a zipped folder and open minecraft?

Does it not work as in a recompile crash or a not in the game type of working.
Its that when i recompile it and run the client, the recipe doesnt work, here is the code:
ModLoader.addRecipe(new ItemStack(PURPLE_WHITE_HORIZONTAL_STRIPES, 2), new Object []
{"WWW", "PPP", "WWW", Character.valueOf('W'), new ItemStack(Item.dyePowder, 1, 1), Character.valueOf('P'), new ItemStack(Item.dyePowder, 1, 10)});
I am trying to get in the crafting grid, WWW
PPP
WWW
Where W is White Wool, and P is Purple Wool. It just hates me.

I believe that there is a hook in the biome classes that allows snow to fall. Look in the code for the Taiga biome or the Tundra. It has to be in there.
Wow, thanks for you tutorials. Hope to see more in the future. Suggestion: maybe a tutorial on how to add a new brewing recipe and potion color to a new potion, but with potion effects already in the game (ex. nausea, blindness, wither, etc.)

You have it set so you use the dyes to make it instead of the actual purple blocks.

It's not rendering correctly. Does it have a texture, does it change into a different block?
Here we have a simple block and two int's to reference to for the top and bottom textures
Next we need to make a BlockYourBlock.java file like this:
Here the "i" is the side of the block. The different numbers represent different sides:
The opposite sides make pairs like this:
So:
On a completely unrelated note. Yay go carpenters!!
