NO.
We have morals here.
We don't upload our folders and jars when there's a thing called WinRAR.
what does that mean im not trying to hurt the developers i've already downloaded everything i just cant get everything working and that would save me some serious time. why cant someone just upload a file with all the mods installed

You know what they say about good intentions, right?
If you aren't Mojang, you can't legally provide the actual minecraft.jar, modified or vanilla. If you've downloaded everything but can't get anything working, the first thing to check is the error logs. Do you at least have modloader installed in the jar? That'll give you modloader.txt in your Minecraft folder. What you're saying is basically equivalent to calling the doctor on the phone and telling him to send you "some pills", without saying what your actual symptoms are. Maybe you need a bandage instead. But how does he know that?

Shall we play the game for you, too?
Look - mods require a small amount of work - namely, the ability to read, to follow instructions, and to exercise some common sense.
There are detailed instructions for installation and even video tutorials. Seriously, if you can't even do it after all that, it would be safer for you to avoid electrical appliances altogether.
I'm sure you "mean well"... I'm also sure you're not putting any effort into this.

What are the consequences of not changing the config files and having copper and tin spawn from all of the mods?
Most annoyingly for me, the 3 different versions don't stack. and the ingots don't stack. And filtering would need 3 instances in the filter. IE: While recipes work well, not much else does.

i fixed that error, now i cant pick up items, the just dont appear and also my sorter doesnt pull items
Forge is still screwy here and there, partly to compensate for Modloader errors. I'd give 'em at least another two or three corrected updates before I'd be willing to use a new Forge, and maybe check to see if Modloader has been fixed too. That may mean not installing one or two add-ons for another few days or so. Annoying, but for me it's preferable to possibly breaking my world or crashing the game.
Also, double-check your NEI settings (open your inventory, turn it on, and click the config button in the bottom left corner). You might have item drops turned off for some reason. That won't affect your sorter, though.

If you're using IC2, I certainly hope you're macerating everything befoire smelting it! You'll find that all three varieties become IC2 dust when macerated. It's an easy way to homogenize multiple ore types.

i've gotten everything installed per dirwolf20's tutorial vid but when I try to start Minecraft I'm getting an error. It looks like a block id conflight but I can't find where the guilty party is so that I can change it

I did that. even going so far as to make sure that the pre-existing config dir was deleted first.
Then you didn't get them all in the right places because it's trying to load MFFS's default ids. That wouldn't happen if DW's configs were loading. It wasn't packaged and released in an unplayable state.
Or hell, maybe it was. Honestly, I don't care anymore. Someone else can figure it out.

Well, there's yer problem! As Holly-head said, you have some config files in the wrong place. Buildcraft keeps its config files in Minecraft/buildcraft, while the MFFS config file should be in Minecraft/config

Yet another user error where the offender insists he "did everything right" and argued with the person who gave the correct answer. Hopefully he won't turn on you too, Zeeth.

Yeah I do, but it's still an annoyance that I don't have to deal with.
Especially in the early game, if diamonds / redstone have proven to be annoying for a couple hours, macerating is just not gonna happen for a while.

I find it's usually rubber that's a problem for me. Half the time in a new world, I have to search for a rubber tree or a swamp. This time around, redstone is proving to be a problem, though! That's ridiculous. It's like burying my face in an apple pie and coming up without apples!

Once I find a suitable location "topside" and build a shelter, I stay inside and dig a hole straight down to level 12. Usually I build a stack of ladders. Hang onto the ladder with Shift, dig out 2-3 blocks below you and place ladders, then repeat. I keep some gravel and stone or dirt in my hotbar in case I open up into a cave or over lava or something.
This gets me down to the good stuff very quickly, and from there I can do branch mining. Usually yields redstone on the first "night", and diamonds if I'm lucky. Also, when branch mining at level 12, always keep a water bucket in your hotbar - that way, you can quench any lava you might need to cross.

A bit tired to search though all 68 pages, is there a program/mod I can use to find/fix all conflicting ids when I start installing everything?
Also, I have installed most of them already, and I notice some ids are the same in different configs yet minecraft still loads and works, an example of this is golden pipes and a sensor from another mod both have id 148, yet everything still loads, what's the deal here? Should I change them?
Thanks.
*Does it matter at all which set of tin and copper I want to use? I'm sure the generation is different, however I like the redpower ores better than the IC2 ores that direwolf uses. Also, what is up with that purple tin ore?
There is a setting for 'releasing the old tin ore', that direwolf enabled, what does that do exactly?
