If you could maybe a... Dimension tutorial for 1.8? And I was wondering about an item that has multiple recipes in the same mod_XXX? I was not sure where to put the extra recipes.
EDIT: The multiple recipes are for the blocks already in Minecraft. They are shapeless.

Do you realize how dificult making a new dimension is? you also have to edit base classes, unless using a api that supports a dimension.
Error:
Every error is in ContainerCauldron class.
I've changed only freezer into cauldron.
Eclipse show the same errors.
Can you help?
Anyway +1 for tutorial.

Either things have changed for 1.8 (I assume you are modding with it) or you have to use updateNames.bat/updateMCP.bat
You can copy from cmd by pressing CTRL-A which selects everything, then press Enter to copy it.
Yes, I do. It is a challenge I know. That is why I want to create one. I do not like to take the easy way out in a lot of stuff.
Dimension tutorials have already been made (by StrengthOwns for example) so I don't think I will make one. If I have a lot of time on my hands and no other tutorials to make, then I might.
Man a new furnace isnt advanced :/ all your doing is changing names, show us how to add another slot with its own recipes THEN call it advanced :smile.gif:
I called it advanced because no one had done a tutorial on it and that wouldn't be because it's easy. Making an advanced furnace is probably the next tutorial I am going to make :smile.gif:
Updated the furnace tutorial to 1.8.1!!! If you made a furnace before 1.8 you are going to have to update your code so check the tutorial (everything is the same, just some of the finished codes are different).

Cool. I just do not like Strengths because he does not explain anything. The "help" section does help but not a lot. Shockh needs to update it. Not in a rush though since the code is so huge.
I had the same exact problem. I lowered the block ID to 110. It seemed to work. I did some research on the WIKI on 1.8.1's block ID's. Anything between 110 and 255. You cannot use 256 or 109. It seemed to work then. Hope I helped.

That's true, I didn't like that about the tutorials much either, but I understand it on my own so it's fine. I was starting to make a dimension for my mods, but now I have to figure out what a bunch of things were renamed to! For instance, DimensionBase doesn't exist anymore so now I don't know what to do with my DimensionMYDIMENSION file and half of the methods have been renamed and changed! It's really frustrating! :sad.gif:

But when I quit and go back into the world, it loses all of the items in the container D:
Can you post your BlockDeepFatFryer.java?

Is your TileEntityYOURS also TileEntityFreezer or is it named differently? You have to put the exact same nameof the class in the method.

Ya, it's named correctly.
