I thought up the basic layout for the Offtopia house. It doesn't need much really. :/
I know its ****, I'm tired and I whipped it up in nearly 5 minutes on MS Paint (The Orange lines are doors >;3)
Hey, with this layout I have to sneak all the way across the building just to get into Mojave's room. Blasphemy! I foresee something in my future. Many, many incidents in stubbing my toe on that meeting table in the middle of the night on my way to Mojave's room.

Anyway, I was thinking of an underground torture chamber storage chamber, accessed from a secret passage in one of our rooms?
Obviously, it should be behind a bookcase in my room. Seeing as how I'm going take over torture storage duties, and if anyone escapes steals something I can catch them in the act and severely punish them.

Just wondering, what would be the rules/mods of this server?
Obviously no griefing, but what about thievery? Pvp? "Contract Kills"?
Normally when I RP, I'm a thief (Within polite limits. I only jack things they have a lot of, and small amounts of nice things. I will never steal a diamond though). Would these things be allowed as long as I am not an ass about it. I also carry some of my own items with me, so if I am killed they get extra random crap from me. I never break anything in their house. If I can't get in through the doors, I don't go in the building, so proper locks would keep me out.
And when I am not stealing I normally help out with (sometimes borrowed) materials.
Also, what are the rules on spawning/mob traps? really hate mob traps, and if spawning is limited I don't mind, but I hate when admin/op spawn diamond sets of gear for themselves, and massive amounts of items just because they can.
Sorry for the mass list of questions... Last few servers I've tried were horrible...

I'm okay with RP theives, as long as they steal small things like coal, iron, wood, etc etc.
OKAY, I have come up with a plan.
If a house has a sign out front with the owner's name,you cannot steal from it. That will be the Offtopia version of a security system.
This is the one and only time I'm repeating it, so everybody who doesn't know, well that's their pity. Basically, you can steal from anyone without the sign. Sound good?
Oh, and don't steal from main buildings like the coffee house, OfftopiaHouse, Boarding Kennels, etc etc. Any other shops are fine by me. :/
I'm planning to have PvP turned off, and any theives or greifers will be banned (if they're serious and not rping, that is.).
You know, it'd be cool if wolves could attack people who steal from your chests. Then you could have a sign that says "Beware of Dog". :3
A greifer's natural response to seeing somebody watch him commit the crime is to either run or attack... If he attacks, the wolves will respond, if he runs, chase him, hit him once, and the dogs are all after him. :biggrin.gif:
Alright. If caught, I assume there will be a form of RP punishment? Payment, jailed (not for an unreasonable amount of time, of course), or "community service"?
The max I will steal is a single block of iron, so 9 bars. If I take that, I will take nothing else. That sound reasonable? Or should it be kept to the even cheaper stuff, like a stack of planks or something, since those are technically infinite?
And for the security, will everyone be allowed to put it up, or just people who are moderating it? Limit 1 sign per person?
And I think I am out of questions then. ^^ I would be fine with joining under light conditions like you seem to be allowing, and just ask me to stop if you want to me be passive for a while. I wont go overboard with thievery.
