All other people wanting to join the Kazdum wait until were a official Clan
=P you should realize that they're not an official ruling body. You can do whatever you see fit RP-wise. If you think your faction is a good idea, and will have fun. Go for it. Don't let them push you around because they want their ideas only to be played out.
=P so it -is- the whole damned clan that's trying to control all the dwarves. Well good luck with that.
And you can't have a council approve/disapprove clans in the dwarves. Unless they're -just- being created. If they're part of a backstory or someones lore, you can't bring it into question.
If you do try, then you'll never have the 3 historical factions you crave. Because if the council has to approve it, they're just being created in that moment. =P But I suppose you'll all only question the clans you don't want. This is getting ridiculous.
Angath and the others are approving this stuff OOC, If we said that they were just created, that would be meta-gaming.

=P you guys do not have the power to do that. You're trying to restrict RP to fit just your own ideals and that's disgusting. There is no ooc dwarven council. You only exist in the damn game, and if you can't go along with what other people RP, then you're not very good at RPing.
And i still could use people for my inn!!!
I'm making a Tavern/Inn and i need some people to help me Build and Run it. "Cooks, Keepers, ETC" Just Reply to this message with your In Character Name, Race, and What job you want. Everyone can work there. I will have special factionized room areas, (I.E i'm
not going to put a Light one right across from the hall to a demon.) Also NO PVP is allowed except in the Jousting area that i am going to make and it will have TONS of pork
The list of jobs avaliable are : Cook, I need 2 Atleast, Room Keeper : Kinda like a Maid and Cleans out the chests of items, Builder : Well obviously Helps build/add on/Rebuild the tavern such as if it is griefed, "Hopefully it will not be", I also need someone who knows how to Circuit redstone so that we can have music at the push of a Button. Also simple circuitry like turning lights On/Off and stuff like Bathrooms just to make it a little bit realistic, Tavern Keep: He or She is the one who Sells the food and Gives the room tickets, Etc.
Oh and The tavern will be called "The Spooky Slime inn"

It's ok it would be meta gaming so just leave it be

Ahem, messenger. I=No real power. Don't blame me. And also I'm honestly not sure if I've been mesenging the right way seeing as it seems this way... seeming. But I guess I should just shut up because, as I said I have no idea what the hell I should even say in this situation. I liked the idea and was hoping that peeps would just go with the flow. But I do have a question, if you wanted to start your own faction and the moderators rejected you would you start saying that they're stamping out your RP, that they're ruining your experience? No, you wouldn't. They have their reasons, and I'm not them so I can't possibly know what those are. Basically everything I've said has been a guess of the reasons, maybe when the others are on they'll give you the answer you're looking for. I basically have no say and no idea what the people in charge actually think. I'm just here to talk :dry.gif: .
How would it be metagaming? As long as you act out the founding of the clan in game, and actually create it while roleplaying, it wouldn't be metagaming at all.
That wouldn't how I'm doing it is that it was just there
And in regard to the Dwarven clans, I don't think it's fair for you to say "no you can't make your own clan". If this were real, you don't need permission to make a clan, it is simply a bunch of members who consider one another as very close friends or even family, who get together and act as a single group, clans are a huge part of Dwarven society and outlawing clans seems a bit wrong. Like Kajirou said, it seems to me like you just don't want to share the power, because this new 'clan' seems quite promising.
I'm not a Dwarf, but the way I see it - if you can get enough members you should be allowed to make a clan, and if your clan gets very big and very influential, then it shows that you were a good clan. You can't control the way the power flows.
A huge part of Dwarven society? Not till I made the first one it wasn't. And even before now after I nmade it, it wasn't very focused on. We are trying to make it more focused on which means we might as well put some crowd control on it. As for sharing the power. There is another clan that has more members than the Longbeards 0-0, not sharing power my ass. Anyway, I think it's pretty obvious that the second they get the chance, some new guy will want to make a clan and soon every Dwarf will be in their own clan and it will be basically how it was before I created the Longbeards. Everyone will have their own surname, I sort of miss that now because we didn't have these annoying arguements :dry.gif: .

=P you're not seeing if people 'go with the flow'. You're openly lying to their face. "Well you have get approved by the council to be a clan..." - Wrong, there is no council that can approve or reject clans for the dwarves. Especially since it was your clan was brought about on a whim as well. Longbeards didn't exist at the start of the game, they were created because someone wanted a clan. Then it got out of hand and they tried to make it bigger and more important, finally claiming it was one of the three founding clans.
Second, the mods/admins on aeonis do have the right to reject factions. They actually have authority on the server for what happens on the server. You, and the fake dwarven council, do not. And factions are completely different from clans. I'm assuming that you would like clans to exist and thrive separately from each other. Hence the "they'd be too spread out, etc, etc." Which is how your clan is played out. Other clans may decide that they want to actually be a community of dwarves and live and work together. That's up for them to decide. Then if lots of clans are made and dwarves are spread out, you can have an amazing RP of a single or several clans trying to unite them all. And if they decide to work together from the get go, then that's up to them. And you'd have a happy diverse dwarf nation.

OKAY STOP its a rp the council rules the Dwarves the Kazdum will try there best to join the council. Now lts all have some Dwarven stout and a cookie
My idea:
Kalzum should be allowed to become clan.... Under conditions
The patriach of Kalzum should post what makes Kalzum diffrent to any other clan and give valid reasons for it.
He should also wait for the server to get on it's feet before he runs into it guns blazing.
Maybe have other clan suggestions before we decide on anything.
Only problem is that none of them have any gametime in aeonis, maybe a more experienced dwarf should lead.
Why dont you tell us a little more about how his training went? What about how the hooded guy new who raven was? Better yet, who WAS the hooded guy?

I want to join because i have seen this server on the list for a while, and since my clans server went down, we have decided to find a new server to play on, a RP server. (my clan is zincazn<iandabarbarian> and nonoie29<nonoie29>, we are also a games development company )
IC (In Character)
Name: Raven
IC Age: 21
Race: Human
Profession: Assassin
Background:
Lost... and found.
when Raven was but 13, his family was brutally murdered wrongly in front of him by the guards in the city, in desperation to escape, he ran from the city to find somewhere to stay while the heat died down, two nights after, he awoke to find a hooded figure crouching over by his fire, so he quietly snuck up behind him and attempted to hit him. The hooded figure turned around and grabbed his fist before he could blink and said 'You will do well, young Raven.'
'Begin your training, young one'
About a week later, he and the man who had decided to call him raven had reached a small outpost, known as 'Assassin's Creek', where all assassins are trained for combat, and then allowed onto their personal objectives. The next day, the hooded figure who had earlier introduced himself as Flint, awoke him and bought him to a courtyard. His training began before he could dodge Flint's attack.
He trained... and trained... and trained...
Allies for the strong.
As he trained, he became friends with two particular assassin recruits, known as 'Razor' and 'Marcel' - MORE INFO WILL BE ADDED WHEN I HAVE A CHANCE :/
8 years later he completed his training, and set out on a quest to figure out the conspiracy, and avenge his family.
Okay, that's actually totally fine, problem solved.
