Do you have custom ips like play.i[servername].org or anything like that?
I believe they do provide that with a cost.
Do you allow manual modding/plugin setup, because I have everything set for a server, is there a way to copy my server files to your hosting site? I would appreciate if you would give me details on how this would work, thank you and if you can satisfy the mod request I will definitely use you to host my server, thank you.
You may do this via FTP (included in every package) by uploading all your current files to the server itself.
If you need any more help, feel free to contact me via PM/Skype. I'm not a MCProHosting support/sales member but I just wanted to help out :3
I highly recommend this to any player interesting in hosting a server, MCProHosting was my host for nearly a year, not once was I unhappy with the service. DDoS Protection was great, including that it was free, as well as friendly and sufficient customer support. There was little to no lag at all, chat lag was good, and the overall connection for players was top notch, again, if you are interested in hosting a server, this is the host to choose.
This has to be one of the best hosting companies out there. You can't beat the value. I've seen slightly cheaper server hosts, but without all the amazing features that MCProHosting has to offer for free you can't beat their deals. I run a Building Server (www.build-nation.com) from MCProHosting and I am very pleased with their service and performance. They have a great customer support team as well. I would recommend them to anyone.
Is there any of you that live in Asia ( Singapore , Malaysia , Indonesia ) ? and using this server ? I live in Indonesia , i want to ask , is the server will get lag in Indonesia ( Asia ) ? i have a plan to order dirt plan or grass plan ..
need suggest
Thank you
Does your server connections reach Chile? I´M From that country and i want a cool, cheap server since i saw this beautiful offers.
And which side is better for it? East or West?
Will this Lag my server? I´M Thinking of buying a Grass Plan to play with enough RAM for 2-3 plugins in server with dedicated IP.
Please HELP ME! MCProhosting!
Do not, under any circumstances, be hosted under this company.
My experience with the company has been constant downtime and headaches. I've received weeks upon weeks of free time due to the issues that it got to a point that I was always 2 months ahead of my payment without ever actually paying anything, and the gap kept getting wider and wider.
When I was first looking for servers, I was floored to see DDoS protection provided for free and such great reviews praising the company by BebopVox and Hypixel. The amount of sponsors MCPH has is staggering, so I knew it must've been a great company and I took the dive by ordering their most expensive plan, the Bedrock plan, right away. Immediately, I was set up and ready to go and all was looking very, very well.
When I ordered the server, I was surprised to learn that SSH access is not provided ( http://i.imgur.com/VAZpT7Q.jpg ) . Strange. A lot of MCPH's competitors offer it, so this was an immediately downside to the company, but I digress.
Within the first week, severe DDoS attacks caused my node to go down for nearly 48 hours ( http://i.imgur.com/8hr2rpZ.jpg ). This brings to question their supposed DDoS protection, but alright. Sure. Whatever. We'll let it slide. I just got here at a bad time, right?
Unfortunately. This downtime was merely par for the course in the grand scheme of things when it came to the disasters that were about to unfold due to this company. About a week later, my server had went down again for about 24 hours ( http://i.imgur.com/YCQJ2Q4.jpg ).
All day everyday, the most sincerest of apologies. I can't hate them for saying sorry, but eventually it got old. If only I had any idea just how bad it was about to get...
Here's what happened. Late one night I realized that my server stopped saving. I couldn't backup. Player data wasn't being saved. Nothing was able to be saved. I sent in a ticket ( http://i.imgur.com/PWzPS5L.jpg ). They eventually told me what happened. Someone on their node managed to generate a server.log file that got so big so quickly that it messed up the entire harddrive. The fact that that was even possible is a HUGE red flag and speaks volumes of MCPH's lack of hosting experience.
At this point, I'm fuming. I'm starting to look for a new host, but decided that nothing has been too awful serious so far, so I'll stick with them, thinking that it will get better. Which was easily the biggest mistake I've made so far. Because, believe it or not, it gets worse.
After the issue of the node not saving was fixed and my server brought online, a new severe issue was brought to light. The contents of my FTP were irreversibly deleted ( http://i.imgur.com/rYgvzER.jpg ).That's OK, I'll just utilize the backup system they provide, right? Thank goodness I have some backups. Wrong. The backup system MCPH provides only backs up the main world, not any other world or plugin folders. Do not use it.
The reply to the ticket basically told me I'm ed. I asked them if they could roll the harddrive back 24 hours as this no doubt effected everyone under the harddrive. The response was that they didn't have such measures in place because it simply wasn't important enough. Yeah. My FTP being wiped is not that serious. Sure thing, MCPH.
At this point, I'm done. It's time to look for a new host, so I start searching immediately. I do eventually find one, and the move goes fine. Thanks for asking! I still have some time left on the MCPH host, so I use it as a bit of a test server for a while.
All seems well for about 2 weeks, actually. Sadly, 2 weeks is the longest expanse of time I've went with MCPH without serious problems. Guess what happens after 2 weeks? My FTP is wiped again. Can you believe that? I couldn't. Here's the best part. The grand finale to the disaster that was being under MCPH. I sent them a ticket asking about the FTP being wiped. I was pretty rude about it, but at this point, who wouldn't be? Check this out: http://i.imgur.com/0y5FUt3.jpg
I quote to you the response I got from this ticket:
"We're sorry about the issues you've had with our service. The issues you seem to be having may have been caused by your server exceeding our Acceptable Usage Policy causing some of your server files to be deleted to make space and prevent damage to the node itself."
This literally implies that MCPH has an automated system that can and will delete files in your FTP if it meets some kind of invisible criteria! The funny part? Because I was using it as a test server, nobody was ever really on it. None of the tests I did were significant. So, because nobody was online, I overused my server?
If you love your files getting randomly deleted, MCPH is for you. If you like actual service, go somewhere else.

Hi mate,
Im with you. MC Pro Host were all but trouble, I purchased my first ever minecraft server with them a while back. After about 1 week into me playing on it with a few friends,WHAM - All my files were delted and my server was reset back to it's origional state! After 3 weeks i gave up on them.
On the other hand, i'm starting a hosting company and would love you to be our first client, the first 20 clients that purchase a server with us get 25% off for the life of their servers.
I've recently had a horrible experience with MCProHosting I thought I would share.
I wanted a server that me and 2-3 friends could play on. I got the Dirt hosting for $5.99
It worked okay, but honestly still needed to restart the server every 4 days. No big deal.
One day me and my 2 friends decided we wanted to try out playing Mindcrack. So, I got into a live chat with MCProhosting from their chat feature.
I was told the Stone plan (1.2GB RAM @ $12.99/month) would be fine for FTB Mindcrack with 2-3 players (only 2 on at a time, MAX)
So, I upgraded.
I then started to have to reset the server daily because of lack of memory errors would kill it. With one person on!
Still, though, this was not the issue.
I contacted their live chat to inquire about the server restarting and was told that I needed to upgrade. I mentioned that someone else told me the plan I just upgraded to would be fine, and was shrugged off as "that wasn't me who said that"
I then asked how to cancel. I was rudely told to go to their knowledgebase.
However, their knowledgebase answer gave directions that weren't possible, because no drop-down in the specified spot told exited.
I sent an email that was on their knowledgebase, to the co-owner, James.
I never got a reply, and about 2 days later my paypal account was hit for $5.99. I haven't used the service, nobody has been on their service, and I can't cancel the service.
A week later I sent a second email about the issue to James, the co-owner.
No reply
Finally, I tried a third time to James and got a reply to use the support system and his email was not a system for support.
I've been given the run-around for weeks now just trying to close my account and get my money back. I have started a dispute on the charges through Paypal.
Horrible customer service!
Also, no reason why a 1.3 GB VANILLA server should run @ 80% used memory with nobody on, 30 minutes after recently restarting it.
Sometimes I've noticed MC's admin test servers pop up under my servers list, so I kind of think they leach.
Whatever. Not happy. I now have a 2GB dedicated server for less than $10 a month with zero downtime so far.
My experience with the company has been constant downtime and headaches. I've received weeks upon weeks of free time due to the issues that it got to a point that I was always 2 months ahead of my payment without ever actually paying anything, and the gap kept getting wider and wider.
I'm extremely sorry to hear that you had this experience with us. We will be providing a FULL refund of your service and ensure that all issue that you had are properly dealt with and resolved. I can assure you we fully understand the frustration and we will do our absolute best to ensure that this is resolved. It would be appreciated if you could shoot me an E-Mail, [email protected] so I can look into this on a specific basis for you. We had an issue with a localized node that was hosting less than 50 game-servers (relative to our 20,000 client base) and none of our other clients suffered such issue.
Well, I think I will reconsider ANY possibility of me purchasing a service from this company.
The FTP wiping issues I've had are things I've never seen before. I can't even understand how it's possible at all, none-the-less how it managed to happen to me twice in under 2 months.
Obviously, this kind of result is NOT typical. If everyone's FTP's were getting wiped this frequently, this hosting company would have no clients, but it does have clients - lots of them - however, you must be warned that the risk IS there and my post outlines that.
With how many other hosting companies there are, you stand to gain nothing by taking this risk.
That said, according to the post above mine, I have been offered a full refund. I have shot Matt an e-mail and I'll keep the topic posted about whether or not Matt chooses to actually honor it. A refund is nice, but it doesn't help that this company single-handedly killed my server from a 40 average to nobody online with its constant shenanigans.

Ive been using this host for a while now and I haven't had any problems at all. This host I believe is better than FragNet, because my server and all of my friends servers who were hosted at FragNet had loads of downtime and got tons of corrupted maps. Mcprohosting rarely has downtime, and also they offer an amazing support!
OK, so. First and foremost, Matt did get back to me in a very timely manner and handle the refunds. Case in point, the CEO of MCPH isn't an a**hole, so that's good.
The e-mail he sent me seems to contain no particularly sensitive information, so I wish to share it with anyone who's interested in going with this company, as it explains in more detail why your FTP files may be deleted.
Thanks for the E-Mail, I appreciate that you got back to us.
Let me explain why your server was deleted: As you're aware we offer unlimited disk space, that being said of course drives themselves must be limited. This means we do not put any cap on any particular client. Because of that we have ran into a problem with several nodes where clients have been generating server logs, backups, gigantic worlds, etc... when this happens the disk goes full and goes into a write-lock mode which does not allow any data to be written. This is a *huge* problem for servers because if it is allowed to continue it will result in the wiping of all permissions and factions files (due to the way that they are written in that they are read, stored in memory, wiped, and flushed with the new data) if the files can't be put back it results in them getting reset. In order to deal with this we unfortunately have to delete server directories as per our excessive use policy listed in our ToS (http://mcprohosting.com/terms-service.php).This results in 0.75% of clients dealing with deleted files. That being said we understand how upsetting this can be to those who are affected by it and our engineers are doing their best to come up with the best solution in the mean time. I personally am working on developing a fully featured warning and automation system for this process. This will allow clients to more accurately see the problems BEFORE they get wiped so they can take care of it themselves so they can do it the best they can(because it is generally as little as a huge server log or backups). And in the instance that the user does not react to the warning the new system will be as sparing as possible in that it will only delete EXACTLY what it is needs to secure all client's files and nothing more than that, unlike the current system.
That being said some nodes have more trouble that others, if you have any interest in continuing to use our services I'd be more than happy to move you to a known good node that hasn't had any issues with this sort of thing as there are many of them.
Thank you for your understanding.
P.S. I'd like to note that this is a common issue in the SSD hosting market since all hosts have to deal with similar issues, luckily once we get this bot out we will be able to deal with it better than any other host out there.
Be advised that it's implied that this only happens if your server generates too much data too quickly. From personal experience and using the company as nothing more than a testing-server for the past 2 weeks, this is complete nonsense. What's more likely is that SOMEONE ELSE on the server is doing it, and the disk just haphazardly chooses someones' files to delete in a panic.
However, read the bolded red text. As I said before, you are taking a risk by being hosted under this company, and there it is. 0.75% is a small number - until it happens to you. I have to reiterate here that I've never heard of server files being wiped like this, none-the-less multiple times, so it's apparent to me that MCPH needs to work on how their nodes operate internally, as the current setup is archaic, to say the least.
That said, I won't ride MCPH's d**k about this any further. Just figured I'd let whoever is looking know that the company isn't exactly ideal in its current state, but maybe in the future, it will be.
Well, I would just like to ask why my server is derping hard. I've submitted many tickets with issues and I still love mcprohosting. I just want my server fixed so the console and plugins and everything works. It was all working fine until everything just stopped working except the map. I don't think the ftp files got reset, but they just aren't connecting with the server. You seem to respond on here so please can you fix my server. I worked very hard for the last 2 days trying to set up my server, and now this happens right when I load up my world.. You guys already gave me a free MONTH of service which I'm happy for, but if my plugins don't work and the server lags, I don't know what to even do to fix this. Please help, or all I can say is that The only issue I have with mcprohosting is that there is A LOT of issues with their hosting. They usually respond to tickets within a week at MAX, but usually less than 24 hours.
If you need any more help, feel free to contact me via PM/Skype. I'm not a MCProHosting support/sales member but I just wanted to help out :3
