Ever since the first anti-Sky/Butter thread popped up in discussion people have increasingly jumped on the bandwagon. Yes, seeing people type Butter or Budder instead of Gold was annoying but it was a rare occurrence here and really not worthy of anyone's time or notice.
Now we have anti-Sky and anti-Butter/Budder threads galore with more being made every day (some of which have thankfully been closed). The threads complaining about what was a minor annoyance are now a far worse annoyance than the thing they were created to complain about.
Besides which the threads have now changed from "I hate the childish Sky fans who spam "Butter" in server chats" to threads about "Why I hate Sky." These threads are allowed to continue on for page after page of inane and petty posts that have absolutely nothing to do with the game of minecraft.
Forgive me if I am wrong but I don't believe any of these have anything to do with the discussion of minecraft or have any reason to be in the Discussion forum.
Can the admins please either tell me I am wrong and to shut up or direct the moderators to do something about the growing "Sky Thread" menace? (sounds ominous, right?)
Yes, this is a big problem going on since the first Budder / Sky forum post about 1 - 2 weeks ago. They should take more look into these because usually they are everywhere on the forums. I honestly am not a big fan of Sky. Yet, the 5 posts about it made every day are nonsense.
But I wouldn't entirely blame this on the Mods / Admins. They have many things to deal with already and most of them aren't able to spend much time on the forums each day to enforce what go's on here. Yeah, some have been closed and that is good that they are. I personally think that everyone should just drop the Budder / Sky topic aswell as you, ausador.
It is not very mature at all to post these hate forums on people. It show's a lot of immaturity on the MineCraft Forums since the first post about these topics. Not many people at all want to see these every day. Everybody wants to see posts that could potentially help you or someone else. There is a lot of things in Discussion about it and it's sort've getting on my nerves because I wanna help people who actually have things to discuss and things that make sense for the Discussion thread.
I see 3 active threads in Discussion; one discussing why people like him and the other two are something about "budder" (I'm assuming the two are related). Beyond that I'm not seeing a problem. Report duplicate threads and they will be handled.
The one I made does not ever mention sky, neither does the one tv flea made. They are both different topics. I see no topic about why people hate him, though.

No, of course not, "Do you like Sky?" isn't at all inviting people to say that they don't? And BTW what does any of this have to do with Minecraft? Should I just start a bunch a threads about lesser known YouTubers like, SSoHPKC, SlyFoxHound, ParagonNova, etc, etc...
Surely since we can have multiple threads about Sky and Butter in the forum I would be allowed to start threads about sayings that other YouTubers and their fans use sometimes. Ohh, I know, I need to start a "shotgun rain for Kurt Cobain" thread, that one is annoying too after all.
The point is that it would have nothing to do with minecraft and neither do these threads, they belong in the offtopic forum if anywhere.

How does something about an item in minecraft have to do with being off topic, completely non minecraft?

Show me where Butter or Budder is an item in minecraft?
These ridiculous 63 page threads are far more annoying to anyone attempting to read the forums than the occasional mention of Butter or Budder ever was.
Since the sole reason for these threads is to complain about how annoying it is when people use those terms I thought that I should point out that the only thing you have succeeded in doing is to create an even greater annoyance to an even larger group of people since now even the single player minecraft players have to deal with it multiple times daily.
Congratulations, and no it does not belong in minecraft discussion.
So why is it when I made an thread completely identical to the one currently published about Sky but that instead said that I like xXSlyFoxHoundXx it was locked for redundancy with three other threads cited?
(none of the three threads mine was cited as being redundant to was the Sky thread that I specifically copied exactly word for word, explain that?)
So threads about Sky are somehow immune to redundancy and are the only ones allowed in the discussion forum now? They sure seem to be getting specifically preferential treatment for some reason.
(and yes I did create the thread knowing it would get locked on purpose as my tags clearly show.)
I allow the three threads because each has a different discussion topic, therefore they don't fall under the "duplicate threads" rule. And all three have to do with Minecraft, so they are allowed in the Discussion section.

I think I spent way too long laughing at this.
Anyway. Yes, I think all the Sky posts, whether they're positive, or negative, need to be stopped.. I go to discussion, and it's all about Youtubers now.
Say, maybe there could be Youtuber's Discussion thread, broken up into different parts for all the major Youtubers.
(Also, while there is an Admin here, can you help me access my User page? I try to go there, and it tells me I don't have permission to access it, saying I am an Inactive Member.)

Useless things, the concept of our minds.
