I have a prebuilt, a DX-4870 UB-318. From what I know the processor is good but i have integrated graphics.
The Specs
CPU: I5-3330 3.0 GHZ
RAM: 8 GB DDR3
Hard Drive: 5400 RPM 1TB
Monitor: 1600x900 HP 20'
Power Supply: 300 Watt (Looking to upgrade)
Graphics Card: N/A, Integrated (Looking to upgrade)
OS: Windows 8
I have one PCIe Express 3.0 slot. (nothing in it)
I am planning to upgrade my power supply to this one to have enough power for my graphics card., do I need a modular power supply? My case is pretty small. : http://www.newegg.co...9050&Tpk=CX500M
This would be good, but we need to know your Motherboard. This reason is because we need to know what type of expansion cards are available. You don't necessarily need a modular power supply, but they are good depending on what you have inside the computer. The reason for modular is because they have better air flow.

Later down the road, try to get a new case. The cable management is atrocious and I'm really not liking that top mounted PSU. Also try to get a new motherboard sometime in the future. Pre-builts almost always come with stripped motherboards (ie poor phase design, low quality caps, etc).

I could always turn the computer upside down...
On-topic: So that means that it would be fine for this upgrade? after this one i am planning to have it for a couple years, then build my own PC, not upgrade it again.

Is this a good setup, I want it to run games at 30 fps+ for atleast 2-3 years.
I am planning to get it this holiday season.
Games I want to run: Planetside 2, Kerbal Space Program, War Thunder, Minecraft, Take on Mars, and Euro Truck Simulator 2
He said he has a PCI-E slot on the OP. Please read.
OP, that PSU is overpriced. Just go with this: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1550sxxb9
Then you can get this graphics card: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/sapphire-video-card-100354oc2l
I have no idea what my motherboard is, i bought this prebuilt at best buy. Here is it's webpage: http://www.nvitotech.com/categories/gateway-dx4870-ub17-core-i3-3220-dual-core/ There is a picture of the inside on the webpage.
