I've installed Windows 98 on my old Dell Dimension 4550. So far I've been able to install drivers for pretty much everything except the network adapter (integrated). I have been searching around for drivers for a while but so far have not been able to find any. Does anyone know if these drivers exist and where I can get them?
Network drivers are going to be difficult. I think the 4450 is semi-new (2005?) so there might not be any to begin with.
I would search dell's site for drivers and try to find one on there for 98.
The Dimension 4550 is not new at all. It was released in 2002. I couldn't find the drivers on Dell's site. The only driver I found on Dell's site was for audio. I had to search elsewhere for the video drivers. I still can't find any information about drivers for the network adapter.

Yes, however these are brands of computers, not series. They are still selling dimension 4550 towers now with low end specs, it depends on which one you have now.

I'd suggest to keep searching then, if you found the VGA driver for the mobo and audio driver chances are the network driver is out there somewhere.

I got it back in 2002/2003, so I really doubt it's a newer one.
You can get the driver from there for 98, if it does not work then it may been unique driver from Dell.
The adapter in mine is integrated; the only cards in there are the video card and a dial-up modem card. I'll try the driver but I'm not sure if it will work.

Even if integrated, it will be seen as a Simple PCI Communications Device (generic name).

But yes, that should solve that.
