Thanks but I still want to use the case I originally picked I just like the design.
And will it make it a little faster if I use the SSD for windows and if so by how much?

You can use whatever case you want, though some are better for cable management.
SSD will make Windows start faster, if you don't care all that much about it then I wouldn't suggest one because of the cost. If you have the money and want one, go ahead.

If somebody suggests a Mac, Alienware, IBuyPower, CyberPowerPC, HP, Dell, ect. Wait for someone who knows what they're doing.
Unless you need CUDA I'd go with you're second build. The 7970 should perform the same or better than a 770 at the same price.
If you are playing games such as bf (that is optimized for nvidia) the gtx 770 should be better.
But, if the 7970 is cheaper, it may be better to get it.
SSD has faster reading and writing times, your really only going to have minecraft, windows, and if u get a big enough SSD, maybe a few more programs on it, for a game, it can sometimes improve loading screens.
For video editing I HEARD (not 100% sure) it can make rendering faster. so things like that.
Instead of making a new build, I would suggest you to wait for three months, since AMD plans to reveal the next generation of their GPUs (the Radeon HD 8xxx series) then, and they will outperform the GTX 7xx series.

Technically AMD is more upgradable as they generally use the same slot for a few generations of CPUs.
Also in 2015 apparently Intel will be switching to BGA; the CPU will be stuck to the motherboard meaning you'd have to buy the motherboard and CPU together. (oh, should I get the Extreme 4 5670k or the Extreme 4 5870k?..)
Somehow, I doubt that would happen since there has always been an enthusiast market and I don't think Intel would want to lose it, no matter how small it is. The enthusiast market also houses some of the parts with the biggest profit per part sold, namely, the Intel Extreme Editions. If they were to give up on that market, then I think they would have to give up the Extreme Editions too, which would not be good for them. Even if they were to offer the option of buying a CPU and a motherboard together, I don't think enthusiasts would take that lightly.
A google search on that subject yielded quite a lot of articles...from 2012. If it were about to happen, shouldn't the number of articles concerning the topic be written more and more as the date approaches?
I agree Intel and AMD has too big of a market for gamers and if they permanently switched to this design it would most likely result in the PC gaming market getting really ticked off.
Also it could result in a new competitor in the CPU market and Intel or AMD don't want that of coarse that depends if AMD switched to the BGA design. If AMD continued to use separate motherboards and CPU's the gaming market would favor AMD.

nope. he's right. intel are stupid. there CPUs are all gonna by BGA by 2015-16
They have been, but I believe they are just rebranded 7000 series cards. ( Not 100% sure )
They released some rebranded 7000s with some minor adjusts back in early 2013 and published them as OEM, the 8000 partnership series (ATI, Sapphire, etc) haven't been released yet.

Proud member of the MCF AWA war of '13! if someone suggests Alienware or Cyberpower, wait for a custom-built list from someone who knows their stuff. Meh Rig
so a Intel CPU would probably be better.(use haswell if at all possible) Here's a few build's I put together.

Nuuuu not 8000, 9000 I believe.
No, the 8000s haven't been released yet, I highly doupt if it will be 9000. I may be wrong though.

I still highly doubt that. They may offer this as a option and in prebuilds but I would say you will be able to buy your own parts

wrong. 8000 series will be OEMs. most likely re-branded 7xxx's 9000 will be volcanic isles and will blow away Nvidia, if they don't overheat and cost a ton.
