Which would you get? I ask because I'm getting a new phone (Verizon) and I'm curious to see which phone from these you guys would prefer. Each phone is dramatically different from the others which is why I'm having a hard time deciding. What are your opinions on each of these phones? I was also considering the One X but that phone isn't on Verizon so I won't be looking into that one...
Ohh, I already decided on a device. I'm just curious on what you guys would get....
My parents finally got us back onto a contract for T-Mobile and I have been wondering whether I should get the Galaxy SIII or the Nexus. I think I'm going to go with the Galaxy SIII mainly because the Nexus has a much shorter battery life with the stock battery. I like the Nexus though because it runs stock Android and I don't really need the microSD slot since I can store my music and stuff on Google Play. I also prefer the smaller screen on the Nexus, the SIII just seems a bit too big for my tastes.
So I'll probably end up going with the Galaxy SIII unless there are great apps that significantly increase the amount of battery life on the Nexus.

They all suck. They just suck differently. Sort of like prostitutes.
I'm also on T-mobile so I would get the S3 because it's newer and more powerful than the Nexus, and yes the Nexus runs on glorious stock android, but I can always root the S3 and flash CyanogenMod 10.
P.S. Isn't the new nexus supposed to come out this month?

I never did post a lot, but now I'm leaving forever. This forum in general is a joke, with the crappy mods, handing out infractions like nobody's business, and just being plain stupid. There's that and there's the amount of stupidity that members hold nowadays. XDA Developers and OCN here I come!
While I love my nexus and its amazing battery life even on 4G. It is old and the S3 has been pretty much fully unlocked so its the better choice.

Is that the battery life for your Nexus? Seems pretty good to me. Plus I would be on wifi virtually all the time since I live on-campus at a university so I should have even better battery life. I don't have a use for bluetooth either and I will rarely have to use the GPS since I don't have a car. When the new Nexus comes out I would imagine the old one would get cheaper as well, which would be great.

There is no new nexus for a while. Get the s3 its better then the nexus is every way.

I still would prefer the smaller screen of the Nexus, but oh well. I still like the SIII it's just that I like the size of the Nexus and even the SII better.

Hmm the SIII can hold up to 64GB on a microsd where the Razr M can only hold up to 32GB, plus microsd cards and adapters are kind of expensive, and the SIII comes in white and and a terrible looking blue... Grrr...
LG o god LG. I like their other products but their smart phones are just no.
But I will give LG a chance lets look at the specs.
"the phone is expected to come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon quad-core processor, 2 gigabytes of RAM, a 1,280x768 True-High Definition IPS display, an 8-megapixel camera, and a nonremovable battery. It will also have no microSD slot and only 8GB to 16GB of internal storage, according to Modaco."
So it sucks IPS panels are old tech I refuse any phone that lacks AMOLED now.
Snapcragon s4 old.
Non removable battery I thought this was a nexus?

Ya no nothing new here move along.
I know, I was bummed about that. Hopefully this is true, I doubt it though.
"LG, however, may not be the only company to unveil a Nexus phone, the person said. Indeed, there has been talk that multiple handset manufacturers will get their crack at building a Nexus device."

The Galaxy SIII will also be coming in black and brown, possibly other colors as well but I'm sure of black and brown.

The S4 isn't a bad cpu, sure its old (2 years I think) but it still gets the job done... It would be nice to see a standard in cell phone and tablet cpu/gpu's (I'm looking at you Nvidia)...
Also Asus has yet to make a cell phone... Knowing their tablets it would probably kick ass...
Edit: I was thinking of a different mobile cpu, its only 1 year old

IPS panels may be considered old technology, but their color reproduction supersedes that of AMOLED. AMOLED pentile displays have to share a green pixel for every red and blue, or something along those lines, so the color reproduction suffers compared to the IPS. However, both are fantastic that you can hardly tell the difference between the iPhone's IPS display and the Samsung Galaxy SIII AMOLED Pentile display. Not to mention the materials in the AMOLED degrade over time.
I've got an S3, it's awesome, a bonus to the Nexus would be it already has JellyBean but it's close on the S3 and already available if you are happy to flash roms.

Not all AMOLED is Pentile even then its not noticeable on a phone. AMOLED when displaying black uses 0 power it turns off the pixel.
That is the main advantage of AMOLED is the power efficiency. The degrade in materials is not a massive issue in phones due to the fact most people don't have more then 2 years.

I simply mean that its bringing nothing new we have seen specs like this before. LG is not Motorolla in that they don't have the history of great build quality going for them.

I have the S3, and it's amazing, so, yes, I would prefer it.

There have been rumors but nothing confirmed. If it has not gone through the FCC yet its a ways off.

Thinking about coming a mod to simply not moderate.
