Do you guys see any problems with these parts or are any parts missing? Also will these parts have any problems working together? P.S. Still haven't found a OS for it yet :dry.gif:
Case: Case link $41.99
Fan: Case fan link $9.99
So go with the $15 dollar one instead? also what is lightscibe? The reason I chose that one is because my current pc uses it and I have had no problem with it.

Because it's a fairly useless feature. It just allows you to label discs with the laser, but it doesn't work that well and can only do it in black, no color.
Labeling discs seems nice, but you need to buy special discs to use it that are abhorrently expensive, low quality on the data side, and overall theres just no point.

lightscribe uses the laser eye of the CD drive to burn labels on the other side of the disc, but it takes a special disk / program to use it
So I have about 8 Gb of old RAM, 2 old processors (1 is an intel pentium 4 2.2Ghz and the other is an AMD-K6-2), 2 old motherboards and a 10 Mb internet connection. The only thing i'm missing is a hardrive and a psu any tips on how i could cheaply turn this into a server?

Any old hard drive/decent PSU will do. Install winXP, Debian, a barebones linux or MineOS on it.
Nothing much to give for tips really, set it up, put the server on it, forward ports and enjoy.
Its a Velocity micro here are the specs:
AC input: 100-120VCA or 200-240VAC
Current: 10/6A
Frequency: 60/50 Hz
DC output to Max out put current: +3.3V/26A, +5V/45A, +12V1/15A and 28A, -12V2/17A and 28A, -12V/1.0A, -5V/0.8A, +5VSB/2.5A
Combined Wattage: For the first 2 its 220W. For the second 2 its 336W. For the fifth one its 12W. For the sixth one its 4W. For the last one its 12.5W.
Peak Wattage: 550W
looks good but get the cheapest cd drive you can, $25 is around $10 too much

Really depends on where you buy/what you buy.
OP, the reason that one is so expensive is because it supports lightscribe. Don't bother, it's a dead "for fun" technology that no one uses.

Is there any way to connect 2 motherboards to the same setup even if they have different cpu's and are years apart?
How much storage space would i need? would about 150Gb be enough?
There is but it would not serve your purpose.
My minecraft server runs on a 40GB HDD so you're fine.
heck 80 would be enough, depending on os windows 7 only takes at max 20gb linux is a fraction of that so yea
