Found a apartment -> found Virgin Media had good speeds, assumed they were fastest -> entered into contract -> moved into new apartment -> discovered there is bad packet loss frequently, discovered another ISP has a better connection and no packet loss -> switched -> can't end contract with Virgin Media yet
Ah, makes sense. Are there high early termination fees, or are you just stuck in the contract?
That sucks. How much do you pay for it? I pay quite a bit for my 50/25 (I usually get ~66/~40) package, but then again, it includes TV, Phone, and Internet.

not sure how much, probably about $50/m just for the broadband (I don't have a TV or phone) and I think the contract is 2 years so it's only about $1k... not a great amount to waste but oh well, I have a spare internet connection at least so if my primary goes down I can always fallback on it.

Most of the time there's a fee to cancel before the contract ends, you should call your ISP and check if they do that.

Mines pretty bad. I do however have access to 100Mbps speeds at the TAFE college I study at. It's amazing how fast it is compared to my home connection.

I'm still waiting on that 30Mbps upgrade... Supposably I'll get it when my area is converted to "all-digital", but when I asked about an ETA, nobody knew.

As far as I know you can't terminate at all.

Posting mine here cause my thread got locked
I got crappy ping...
I usually get better, but this is standard, although the ping is really good.

Horrible. Just horrible. I am uploading though so... Ya. But still. That is REALLY bad.

I pay 80$ a month for my connection and it's supposed to be 12MB down, not 3. I sure do love getting screwed over by ISPs here in America.
At least I'm faster than 80% of the US.
Not bad...
Faster than 50%
Wish my upload speed was a bit faster...
That's pretty good already.
