How have you not heard of Microcenter?! They are pretty much the best local computer store. An i5 2500k only costs $170 in-store and they usually have deals where if you buy a SB or IB processor you get a motherboard for around half off.
Speaking of the Wii, my parents use it for the same thing lol.
So I could pick up a 2500k and MSI Z77A-GD55 for 250$, sweet I will have to google the nearest store location at some point...
I really regret getting a PS3 now that I actually know what it's like to be able to game on PC. That money could have gone towards an i5 2500k especially since I have a Microcenter about 45-60 minutes away that I could have gotten a good deal from.
Hey maybe the waiting and not buying the 2500k when AMDs 8350 destroys Intel or the 8550 that releases before Haswell.

I am much more curious to see how the 4350 performs since it comes stock at 4.2GHz with 4.3GHz turbo and a 12MB L3 cache. I'm hoping it will basically be a good budget option for overclockers.
Also to 16cadrian about the motherboards, I just checked and it looks like you can get an i5 3570k for $190 and get an ASRock Z77 Extreme4 for $85 with it. That's a total of $275 which isn't bad at all considering it would cost around $360 at Newegg.

Nobody's perfect, so neither is Hannah Montana Linux, but it's pretty great.

They all suck. They just suck differently. Sort of like prostitutes.
That's a steal, although the SB CPU's should be lowering in price anyway, IB came out and Hasewell is on it's way...
Haswell is 11 months out at this point that's like saying Nvidia should lower prices the 7 series is on its way or AMD should lower prices the 9 series is on its way.

i mainly meant they should lower prices because of the IB, even though they suck at OC
Ehh, I think it would be worth it, besides Crysis 3, Metro Last Light and Lost Planet 3 are releasing next year, for all we know they might be like Crysis when it first came out, only playable with the latest stuff...

New stuff comes out every year. It isn't really a big deal.
They actually do sell online as well, but usually the items they sell online could be found elsewhere for cheaper.
Fun fact for you as well, Microcenter once had a weekend long sale on the i5 2500k for only $150. Sure wish I would have been there

Intel has never had large price drops with their tocks.
The I5 2500k is quite a bit cheaper then release already
A whole year is to long.
