I'm guessing by max out you mean 30 fps, because even my 6950 can't max out BF3 with 4x AA and 16x AF. If that is the case, I would not consider that maxed out. Maxed out to me means everything on the highest settings playing at 60 fps on multiplayer(in the case of BF3).
I agree my 6970 only barley pulls 75fps but the dips I am pretty sure are result of my CPU rather then GPU.

My fps on Ultra usually varies from 40-80 so I just set it to High. I also have a frame limiter set to 59 fps and Vsync enabled as well. I haven't played on large maps like Omen though with 64 people in which case my CPU would probably struggle quite a bit.

They all suck. They just suck differently. Sort of like prostitutes.

Ya the larger maps hurt my FPS but I think it is more down to CPU more then the extra GPU stress.
Armored Kill scares me a bit and how my performance is going to be.

That reminds me, I should really get the expansion packs for BF3. I just have the default maps right now and that's probably why I have so few servers to choose from. I've been too busy with the campaign and Half Life 2 to get the DLC though. I'm also gonna be getting Mirror's Edge and possibly Red Orchestra 2(still thinking about it).

If you plan on playing it a lot get BF3 premium its a DLC package its cheaper if you plan on getting them all.
I was going to get it but the recent announcement of BF4 has be worried that EA is going to be releasing too many Battlefield and I don't want to support that.
Premium is a waste too if you are a person like me
Premium 50$
Armored kill 15$
Aftermath 15$
Endgame 15$
45$
So its all that plus 5$ for just cosmetic.
But if you don't already own Back to Karkand its a good deal as that's another 15$.

What's even worse is that they are using Medal of Honor to get preorders for BF4. It looks like a COD franchise waiting to happen. I know the companies are just trying to make as much money as possible, but would it kill them to release a finished product for once? I would rather have a great game released every 3 years from a franchise than a good game every year that requires patches right away just to work properly.

They did the preorder Medal of Honor for early beta for Bf3.
But Endgame is not supposed to release tell mar 2013 and they will want to keep Bf4 release away from that to sell DLC so it could very end up being 2014 before the release of BF4.
While I doubt it they might end up actually innovating maybe add 128 players and do something a bit more unique then modern day.

it maxes at 45 fps, turning aa off means i get 60fps, either way its pretty good, lag free, unless a bomb goes off, but those are usually cut scenes, not combat where i actually need high fps...
edit: the only games i cant max are arkam city and metro 2033, but i can still play them at high settings, which barely makes a difference...
really? my mobo only uses one 4pin cpu connector, if i got a CM Hyper 212 Evo how well can i overclock it?
Find out for yourself. I might be wrong. I remember someone bringing up the G6950, a brother of the 6951 I believe, saying it was a good overclocking CPU.

alright, ill google it later, but im super tired right now (waiting to see what the new flash sale is in 30 minutes)

That is irrelevant then because you are using measurements in singleplayer which don't equate to the same performance in multiplayer. I'm not surprised you can get that sort of performance on singleplayer, I would be more impressed if it was multiplayer on at least a 24 player map.

doesnt mp stress the cpu more? in which case yes i would lag, also i dont play mp for that game because i really hate the way origin does things...

Ya, it puts more stress on the CPU. What does Origin do that makes you not play MP? Both SP and MP have to be launched from Origin and I don't see a huge problem with the way Battlelog works.

when i used it in the passed just getting the game up and running will take a while, its as annoying as configuring the settings for arkham city (because you have to close the game, change them and wait a while for it to load up again). Plus all my friends play that game on the xbox, and of course mp is more fun with friends...

I agree, I miss playing with my friends on PS3. Aside from that though I find the gameplay experience on PC to just be way better.

true, theres so much more freedom on the pc, and ohh these friends of mine are pc gamers, but they all have terrible gpu's which is why they play the console version.

I really regret getting a PS3 now that I actually know what it's like to be able to game on PC. That money could have gone towards an i5 2500k especially since I have a Microcenter about 45-60 minutes away that I could have gotten a good deal from.

I never heard of Microcenter, I assume they are like BestBuy, but better??? And I never spend money on a console, besides my Wii, which my family now uses as a cheap netflix machine...

How have you not heard of Microcenter?! They are pretty much the best local computer store. An i5 2500k only costs $170 in-store and they usually have deals where if you buy a SB or IB processor you get a motherboard for around half off.
Speaking of the Wii, my parents use it for the same thing lol.

Thinking about coming a mod to simply not moderate.

Microcenter just sells computer parts. They don't sell online and instead offer really good deals. I think they sell an i5-2500k for like 170 USD.What CodofMC said.
