The team is called:
Epos Apps
"Epos" is epic in German. Therefore, Epic Apps.
I am looking to make an Android development team. I already have a pixel artist, a freelancer in web development and one coder (me). I need a graphic artist, and (a) coder(s) sufficient in the API levels up to 14-15 (I'm doing those).
To make this clear, this is supposed to be a fun, learning experience that almost anyone can join. You just have to want to code, or like to draw! I know this is not an AAA app company. This is more like a team. I will have an app to show people anytime within the next week.

If you want people to work for you, you have to show you have some experience with this. Also, you have to show that there is (not WILL BE) monetary compensation for most people.
What do you want to do with this just make generals apps, roms, games?
Are you going to get paid via app adds or charge for them or advertisements for rom downloads.
What work have you done and other people on the team done before?
You need to provide more information before anyone will take a look at your offer.

Hm, I've not really been too great at app dev (actually haven't been one at all), but I love Android and I plan on being a game dev as an adult...I'm not asking for any money, but it would be cool to kind of see the source code and play with it and learn something about Android. I probably won't be any help unless I could be your idea factory - I'm great with ideas. I'd like to look at the source, though, possibly learn something from it. I won't steal any coding or anything.
Oh, also, I could be a beta tester. I have a pretty shitty Android now (Optimus V), but I'm getting an Xperia PLAY in July.

if u want, u can learn android. i could always use a person learning! and does ur phone use android 4.0+? u would work with API's 11-13.
1. You provide no portofolia
2. You seem rather disorganised
3. Any ideas for what you are actually going to make? All we know is that you are going to make apps for android market, which dosen't mean alot.
4. You are not going to succeed since very few even slightly experienced programmers will not work for free unless any monetary gain is guaranteed.
5. 99.9% of these threads fail. 99% don't even make it past the recruitment proccess, and those that do fail before even properly starting.
6. Waiting for Centrally.
In his defense he is not asking for an experienced programmer or to make AAA game like most threads. He is looking for some people to help him make Android Apps is something that is very easy to do for a small group of people.
Give some people a chance before shooting them down.
While I know how to make apps I dislike working on them but I wish you best of luck.
Honestly, I can see you are trying but you don't have much. There's you, a rookie programmer with no kind of portofolio. Then there are 2 pixel artists and a web developer. Have you even started with this game? Actually program something yourself and prove that you are worthy to have other people work for you before trying to recruit people.
Also, grammar please? Without proper grammar you seem unprofessional.
You think we make a company like blizzard? We were just making small things for fun and learning. We arent even adult and a experience in a team to create a game would help our way to get a job or create greater games.
Are you so sick of this?
If, then just ignore us.
He never said that you claimed to become a company like Blizzard, nor did any of you, but you have way too high hopes. You want 3 programmers, several pixel artists, web developers and HD artists to work for you with no kind of portofolio or proper ideas? People will NOT work for free with almost impossible to reach goals for ''fun and learning''.
Before you even try forming a team try doing something yourself instead of letting other people do it for you. Also, ''we aren't adult'' is NOT an excuse. Many people make games very early on in their lives because they are GOOD at what they are doing. They have actually done something themselves.
thank you but i think its better to learn programming and so on with people with the same goal. Thats what we are doing. idk why he post this thread so early...
With 3 programmers the code is going to be cluttered and very different, depending on who worked on each part of the code, and each programmer only learn 1/3 of what they would learn if they made a full game on their own.

each coder would work with a different APK. so our apps r fully compatible with every android version.
Not many people have pre-2.2 phones. Allowing you to firmly grasp (term used loosely ) the market of the most recent, and some older phones.
Anyone with a phone that can't be updated to 2.2 probably is slow as crap anyway and not worth development time.
Heck if you built for 2.3 you would get 75% of the Android population and that's still a good chunk.
Also if you would have read the Google android website link I gave you. Google goes over how to make an apk detect android version and fallback to code that compatible without using more then one APK.
Also, if they took the non-compatibility root, when / if they put it on the market, can't they define the version it runs on, making it not show on older verions?
I have never actually published any of my apps so I would not know from experience but I do believe you can do something like that.
My phone shipped with 2.2 (Optimus V), but I ROM-ified it and now it's 2.3.3 rooted. I was hoping we could aim it towards Gingerbread, as my phone would run that.
I'm busy getting a development environment set up now, and I rock a sweet gaming puter so emulating it won't be a problem.
Just throw me the source code and I'll look at it and test it - an APK would be good too if you want me to test on the actual device.
Also, for all the people dissing us (them?) - This is more of a learning experience, not an actual company. Don't expect us to make the next Angry Birds, we're doing this because we want to.

awesome! watch thenewbostons videos on how to set everything up. how about, i work on ICS APK, and you work on Gingerbread APK? and now we need someone for Honeycomb (tablet) and we r all set! do u have a skype WinCamXP? u can just message it to me, and we just type-chat, not video

Or just build everything for Android 2.2.

If you build for Android 2.2 you get 94% of the android population.
