Hi i am building a computer and was wondering if these specs were anygood?
Intel Core i7 2700K
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB WD1002FAEX x2
LG CH12LS28 12X BD-R Blu-ray DVD Combo Drive
Corsair Hydro Series H80 CPU Cooler
Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit with SP1 OEM
ASUS VE278Q 27in Widescreen LED Monitor
ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 Motherboard
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 590 3GB
Logitech G19 Gaming Keyboard
Enermax MaxRevo 1500W
CoolerMaster HAF 922 Case
Intel 520 Series 60GB SSD
Jesus christ that is a nice build but what will you be using it for? If it is for gaming you dont need the i7 just go with an i5 2500k. Don't need a 1500 watt psu just go with a Corsair HX750 Other than that looks good.

Ok lets change some things here.
With the CPU, unless you are doing some rendering, step down to an i5 2500k.
With the CPU Cooler, grab something along the lines of a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, that will do fine on that i5 2500k. Matter of fact on mine, at idle I hit 25° Celsius.
With the Windows. You don't need Ultimate. Use their lowest one at 64 bit and it should do you well.
With the Motherboard. Nothing on ASRock, but I have heard they are a hit and miss company. I would go with a more reliable brand such as ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, etc.
Don't go with the GTX 590. They are heat and power monsters. Something like a Radeon HD 7970 will be 100-200 dollars less and still do pretty much the same thing while being more efficient.
With the power supply. No no no. Enermax is a lower brand. With parts like that, go with something along the lines of a Corsair or Antec. You don't need 1500W, at most you will need 1000W and that will give you a good 200W of wiggle room.
Other than that, it is great.

Drop that i7 down to an i5 2500k, get a coolermaster 212+ fan or similar 212 fan, downgrade to windows 7 home premium, get a 1200w from a trusted PSU manufacturer listed above ^^, go with dual or 3-way 7970's, good case, get a bigger SSD if you want :biggrin.gif: Here's my build:

There is no reason on earth to buy a 1200w PSU, ever, you'd have to have a huge full tower case, water cooling, four Nvidia cards and who knows what else to even merit 1000w of draw.
Total waste of money, especially with how expensive that particular one is.
The 620w I listed in my build can support atleast 2-3 of those cards, maybe even four.

I'm not even sure why we're posting if you aren't going to take half the suggestions in this thread, the motherboard you had was fine, the PSU is a waste of money, only a sucker buys a 1200w, the optical drive is "meh."
Pretty much the only thing you changed on this ridiculous build was the windows 7.

and you can say what you don't like about it, and I can just change it. That way you can ask questions and not just go roundabout. Right now it's cheaper than yours and has TWO video cards.
Or heck, change it yourself and re-post it, I don't care either way. Really if you have questions or reasons I may have "downgraded" ask them.
This is extremely OVERKILL, you dont need to spend $3000 on any computer thats will be COMPLETE WASTE of money right there (unless its an server or an business computer) you can get an fresh car for that kind of money (note theres no such thing as future proof pcs) my advice maybe slim your budget to $1000 - $1500 specs for this price can already max all games no prob..

click on my dragon and the green button!
Although there might be better parts for the same/less money. Wait for fm87, CentrallyProcessed, Christoi and our other tech wizzes to get here.
Edit: It's actually somewhere around there, but there's no reason to get some of those parts over some others (see posts below).
you can build a much better computer for less, if thats a prebuilt avoid it like the plague itself, that should not cost anywhere near that price
change the i7 to a 2500k
change the h80 to a Coolermaster 212+ or a 212 Evo if the 212+ is not an option
drop to home premium, there are no advantages for windows ultimate
get a 7970 or even better wait for Nvidia's 6 series of cards
power supply is massive overkill, get a nice 700W 80+ rated PSU from Corsair, Seasonic, XFX, or OCZ
case is good, i'd keep it

Don't know don't post. Don't judge things based on how expensive they are.
TL;DR: MAC's.
Oh and that is a **** psu brand, and a pc like that only needs 650w.
Also you don't need a bluray drive.
i5 6600k 4.6ghz / MSI 280X / 8Gb 2666 DDR4 / Gigabyte Z170X-UD5 / TX550M / 500Gb 850 EVO / NZXT S340 / Corsair K65 / Corsair M60
along these lines?
in his budget he may as well go for an actual loop, no point not to at that range

Damnit, you beat me to it, I was going to say pretty much the same thing. 590 is not needed, get a 7950 or 7970.
