So have noticed that people keep asking if alienware and mac are good and if they should buy them. Everytime we have to tell them the same thing, that they are wasting their money. I thought i would make this thread in hopes of getting a sticky so that we don't have to continue telling people.
Good luck getting a sticky. And the thing with macs and alienwares, though, is it is not actually incorrect to buy them. It isn't the wrong thing to do. It's kinda like killing someone, which everyone would disagree with, versus going to college and majoring in veterinary medicine to become a doctor instead of going to medical school. It is not at all advisable, not technically wrong, but people will still do it.

So what you are saying is it isn't exactly wrong it's just really stupid? lol
Well maybe i will get lucky lol becuase i know we have to post these pictures at least once a day and it gets annoying eventually.

pretty much, though technically your correct that its not even a remotely good choice, i'd rather have quality then a roaring flame breathing thing in my desk
we also need a comedic mac photo of some sort for entertainment purposes, may i suggest the shaving with a bowling pin?

Right. It is not like giving out wrong advice, like saying that to get better performance you need a new screen. It is just suggesting something that could be done better.

although it doesn't quite rectify enough how bad Apple is. (correct word? rectify?)

i think it's just me, but i can't read anything in those pictures :tongue.gif: try hosting the image on something like imgur or whatever will keep it at full resolution.
sadly if people are dumb enough to buy alienware pcs or whatnot, they probably don't wanna read through these photos :/
Is that better? I switched to imgur, i have been using photobucket but not anymore lol
lol... gee that guide isn't biased against Mac, is it? :smile.gif:
They have their place. I got my mom a Dell workstation with Windows 7 and I'd hear from her every week or two asking about this popup or that error or how to do something. I repo'd it and gave her a Mac, haven't heard from her since. At least, not about anything technical lol. So yea, Mac is good in some situations.

So you paid 1000$ or more instead of just teaching her basic computer skills or just teaching her to google?
F* yea. Have you ever tried to teach an old person? Screw that noise. Besides, it was only like 4-500ish more than the Dell anyway, not a grand.
My time and frustration avoidance is definitely worth that :smile.gif:
You have a point lol i tried teaching my 70 year old grandma how to text the other day and i gave up after an hour. That's good that it was only about 500 i wouldn't buy one but i guess if i had the money i would pay that to keep them out of my hair lol
Don't waste your money people.

So you're probably thinking, doesn't that picture mean Macs are better?
No.
Wall-e functioned Autonomously for over 800 Years.
Eve was locked down remotely and has no replacement parts.
Mac fanboys, your argument is invalid.
atleast use the original post it was in
