My current windows computer SUCKS, and instead of buying another one and then only using it for 2 years, I have decided to ask my parents to get an Apple MacBook Pro. I want to get a 13.3 inch model, but I can't figure out which one to get. Look at their site here to get the details: http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/specs-compare.html
I want to use my computer to do Computer animation, and also be able to partition my hard drive so I can run both windows and mac. Also,I want to run games smoothly on both os, plus be able to record them. Any recomendations?
BTW, dont try and persuade me to just buy a pc. I have had enough of those.
A macbook uses the same parts In other computers if you like the os just make a hackintosh. I never recommend any one anything I would not use personally so I can never recommend some an apple product.

A hackintosh? wuzzdat? And also, yes I like how macbook pros look also. I am planning to use this for 3 years minimum
I'd rather get a PC that breaks (to get a brand new, better one) than buy a OVER 3K Mac. I mean you can buy 3 reasonable gaming computers with that money.
Macs use the same parts as PCs. It's just standard laptop parts in their laptops (and in the iMac; ~thinner and lighter is way more important than cheaper and better performing~). In fact, they often apply way, way too much thermal paste, or do something odd with the HDD (my dad had to send one back a week after he got it a few years ago), or mess up other parts. Cooling is **** as well.
I'm on my 2009, 15" macbook pro. You want to record, play, and make computer animations correct? WELL GET THE GOD DAMN PC AND SHUT YOUR TRAP.
Take this from a guy who HAS put windows on his mac, who HAS recorded minecraft, who HAS made animations, photoshop'd and video edited out the door. Point is, my computer can't handle this stuff at all. Recording get's me 16 fps. Can't render animations very well because high settings corrupt the files every time. I had to go to the ER because I fell asleep with my mac on my laptop and it overheated and burnt the living hell out of my lap. Windows runs terrible on the dual boot.
Don't go with a mac. You're looking for high end performance, and for the two $2,000 I split between me and my parents, I can say i've been to the hospital because of my computer and can't do anything on it because it fails to perform.
I'm warning you, it's your choice, but I would highly recommend a Windows machine. For $1,000 you can buy a far better machine that out performs this mac in it's sleep. Mac's are ment for work, not gaming, not rendering, not anything but business. That's why they're operating system has multitasking, and productivity in mind. Choice is yours, but don't come crying on the forums when you find out you can't use glsl shaders, water shaders, run minecraft over 60fps, record anything, or model anything.
Hands down, if I had the money, this god damn macbook would be on it's way to hell and I would be hugging a pc.

Oh and yes, this is a persuasion.

Yes, but macs last much longer than pcs.
*sigh* I knew that would happen

FYI: Don't ever post about buying a Mac here.
I'm sure others will take the time to educate you on why buying a Mac is a stupid idea.
I'm starting to realize that's a good idea.
Thank you.
EDIT: Sorry for triple post, my internet just lagged so it triple posted

So, yeah.

I'm just going to bow down to you right now. Don't mind me.
If you get parts to a self-built computer, and you know what you are doing. A Windows PC can last a lot longer than a Macintosh.
