My last post disappeared(no clue why), so here goes again.
If you are not against building your own computer and just need a tower then buy a used tower off ebay for cheap and build it up.
You can get a Core 2 Duo bare-bones system for $80-$90 shipped. 4GB RAM will run you $40, $12 for a 80GB Hard Drive, which leaves you $50 to spend on a decent video card.
For around that price you should be able to pick up a second hand machine with specs like this: Dual Core ~3ghz, 2gb Ram (4 if lucky), ~8800gt-ish gpu.Which will play a lot of games decently, but newer games will be limited a fair bit. WrenAkula was right to mention Craigslist, a second hand machine from there is pretty much your best and only bet.
I hope your trolling :sleep.gif:
But you cant really get anything decent for that price range....
The reason I would like a laptop is because I have to use Wi-Fi to connect to the Internet (which sucks) so my only option is to get a cheap laptop around $500-700. Could anyone give me some suggestions? Hp would be nice :smile.gif:.

I'm not a brainiac in the area of internets, but I believe you have Wi-Fi on desktops as well.

I wasn't saying you were a braniac, but anyway the other reason is that I can take it with me when I travel. Thats when it comes in handy :wink.gif:. (I repeat) Suggestions would be nice and Hp if possible.

Do not get HP :tongue.gif:
They overheat more easily than any other laptop.
Get an MSI or Asus. Even if you are not going to do any gaming, they are the best you can get since they have better cooling, even if it's not their gaming series.

Oh I want to do gaming alright, lots of it. :smile.gif:. The only reason I want to get a Hp is because my friend has one and there is no lag at all. I just want something around the price range I've said like 300 times. Suggestions appreciated.

I got a cheap gateway nv52 laptop from newegg.com for $400 a while ago
dual core 2.2ghz
4gb ram
320gb hdd
radeon hd 3200
17 inch widescreen
it was a good deal when i got it about 2 years ago. i can run oblivion on med-low settings (averaging about 20 fps outside). I have played the sims 3 decently on it as well. minecraft runs at ~45 fps on good days lol
go check out newegg.com
even if you cant afford new laptops they have refurbished ones that are cheaper...and sometimes they have free shipping
