I agree with Gheart, sure, you kind of knew what was going to happen. But Solid Sparkle (I honestly feel it's better to say that than Solid Twilight), another Trollestia moment, and a bunch of other things made this pretty good. Regardless of the plot.
A PMV of a "Freeman's Mind" Episode would be the most amazing thing I'd ever lay eyes on. Fluttershy would be best for the role due to the sheer irony of it. XD
Someone who's better at video editing than me should do that. I would love them forever.
Haven't seen the new episode yet, and I'm not sure if I'll get to it tonight or just wait until tomorrow...
TehAlphaMiner stole the Twilight "Come at me bro" gif that I was going to use when I returned. Boo. (And in other news, it seems to know the beat to ANY SONG I listen to)
I'm kind of curious what they're doing for the end of Season two. If you think about it throughout all of Season 1 they had some sort of goal which was the Grand Galloping Gala. They even spent multiple episodes preparing the viewers and characters for the finale so that it had a really nice buildup going to for it.
Though in season 2, there is no build up. Just some relatively awesome episode planned as a finishing touch to an awesome season.
Actually, it's going to be a three-parter, I believe.
And how do you know there isn't already some buildup? Maybe it's so subtle that we don't realize it yet? Maybe there is some massive overarching theme that simply hasn't revealed itself, but will become obvious as soon as it does?
Like "Bad Wolf" in Doctor Who.
Here's a picture:
Edit: Another picture worth posting!
Not sure how much I like this particular humanization, but the fact that it's Tara Strong is just so great.
Hmm a new thread. Maybe Now I can make posts on various pages of binary importance. Anyway the new episode was pretty good overall and will be discussed below.
It took me until I saw her mane being singed to get what the warning was but still overall enjoyable. Pinkie, like always, was spot on and made laugh more once. I am disappointed that there was no Dr. Whooves reference but I did see him so there's at least a little consolidation. Plus Who else though that parts of the sneak in and the music sounded a lot like Sly Coopers?
EDIT: Mentioned by Shadow but Holding weapons now Canon! So Brotherhood of the Moon sword play is possible.

Future Twilight's looks, and the library break-in reminded me of Metal Gear Solid, to be honest. That's why I nicknamed Twilight Sparkle Solid Sparkle (I think it fits more than Solid Twilight). Then again, I've never played Sly Cooper, so, eh. I agree with you on Pinkie Pie though, she manages to be as funny as hell.

Most of it was MGS references but the music just sounded so close to all of the Sly music I've heard.

Now for Sly music.
They're so freaking similar it's uncanny. Maybe William kevin Anderson and Daniel Drew inspiration from it unknowingly.

The newest episode was just as i expected it to be.. Predictable but funny.
I knew the only reason Twilight will get messed up is because she thinks there is something wrong, but the episode was still good and might be one of the top episodes to show to non-bronies who are not familiar with the show. Crazy Twilight is best Twilight
Spike eating ice cream all the time was quite random and few references to old episodes were there as well. Oh well, i am going to watch it again tomorrow as i am sure i missed some good stuff.
I'd have to agree that the new episode was a little predictable, but had some great moments.
I new exactly what was going when she first got the cut on her face. Still great though, but they really missed an oppertunity without using Dr. Whooves more. Although, did anyone else find it funny how he took a few more seconds for it to register what she was talking about?
Anyone else really want an ice-cream house?!
Loved when Pinkie was floating on balloons flapping about, stupid humour like that always gets me.
There wasn't enough Fluttershy for my liking though :c
Every episode should be a Fluttershy episode
Woah. Admin Brony??
Anyway. Sounds like what you need is a Fluttershy toy which you could then proceed to brush obsessively on an island in the middle of a sub-terrain lake while waiting for Saturdays at 10 am. =P
Yeah, there should have been more Fluttershy. There should also have been more Rarity.
That's why they should do more Mane 6 episodes. Then everyone gets their share of their favorite pony.
Pastmaster apparently is with us, too. Also, citricsquid joined the herd quite a while ago, and had a Fluttertar to prove it for a short period of time.
Also, I don't know why you guys are rating the episode as "pretty good" or "alright." It's clearly the best one yet--and not only because of Twilight. It's also got good jokes, fantastic storyline, nice place name puns, and an MGS reference that I would have never seen coming. And I haven't even finished it yet.

And now I'm somewhat considering changing the Libre Arcanum in Aurora Spark into the Canterlot Archives--but besides the pro of it being canon, there's also many cons, such as the loss of symbolism and the lower security.
Oh well. As I was saying, I loved the episode, but I wish the Metal Gear references had been more direct. No cardboard boxes? No exclamation points/question marks appearing over the guards' heads? I think the light spell that that one guard used was a reference, but it may have just been a coincidence...
I liked the new magic, and the new effects that came with it. I also liked the familiarity that Celestia had with Twilight--and, for that matter, the fact that the guard recognized her. Ever since Pony Joe it had seemed like nopony in Canterlot knew Twilight (especially in Sweet and Elite), but now that's fixed. Also, royal night guards are confirmed! Big canon plus for Eternal!
9.5/10. I'm considering maybe convincing my older brother to watch this, because he loves Metal Gear.
Edit: Also, I'm going to have to consider what Tartarus is for Aurora Spark. Nothing can be left out...
Another good episode this week, though a slight step down from last week's episode. The start was awesome. Metal Gear Solid reference was very nice. Twilight was great throughout the episode, but it was Pinkie Pie who, once again, stole the show. Pinkie hiding stuff all over town is something strange but logical, and her being a gypsy is now canon. Speaking of stuff being canon, we now have hell. This show just keeps on getting better. And with that I must say that Fluttershy controlled Cerberus, a hell dog, way too easily. Methinks Fluttershy isn't as good as she appears to be.
The jokes throughout the episode were all well done, the ending was very nice, and overall everything flowed nicely. Though despite that I liked the episode less than the last episode. No idea why, maybe it was because the last episode was a Fluttershy episode. But nonetheless it was a great episode. I give it a 9/10.

Well it makes sense that the guards know her but not everyone else, she was a book worm and would be in the archives a lot plus she was Celestia's Apprentice and lived at the castle. Since she was a book worm and anti social barely anyone in Canterlot actually saw her or talked to her.
P.S. Ah my first binary page post lets see if I can be on the eighth.

Yay Living Tombstone!
I had to do this when I saw the clip.
And wouldn't a Rarity version of the Twilightlicious gif be awesome?

And that was my mission.
My DeviantArt, so sexy
And Rarity doing Twilightlicious?
Okay, so I find this on google images, typing in "Rarity I'm okay with this", still couldn't find one of these with Rarity, but, eh.
*Scrolls down and sees drawn picture of Rarity bending over while Twilight licks her you-know-what.*
Can someone pass me the bucket of mind bleach?
