We have to, it's the reason we were locked last time.
@Lord_Dominic That's srsly awesome.
-snip-
Glad you guys like my stuff, that's why I post here!
I like how your one has that look of, "fine, I'll do it, just give me the money". You know, with the pickaxe, you should do it as a Minecraft fan art and submit it to that thread, like have him in the Minecraft world. Might attract a little attention. As for topics, still can't think of any besides the generic ones I dropped on page 2. Actually, maybe you should add them to the OP, like as a suggestion to anyone stopping by, here's some things to post about.
Since the slightly darker stuff seems to get a good response, I have an owl in armor.
I really should put more like this up on DA, I've got a lot of these "in battle gear" drawings floating around.
Interesting...
I'm no furry person and I can't draw, but I find this tread quite interesting, probably just going to look at this and watch everything you say without saying/posting things myself, as I said, I probably wont have anything to post anyway :smile.gif:
I did see he "furry tread" a few times already, never though to check it out ( was going way to fast ) but now it's pretty slow, so easily for me to follow :smile.gif:
Now to read the opp and know what a furry actually is ( I hope the opp is clear about it :smile.gif: )
Well, we need more people in this thread...it seems it's only myself, dom, and AJ that are posting xD...We cant let this thread die!
Add this to the OP. NOW.
It's the definition of "anthro", according to deviantArt:
"Gallery Info: AnthroAnthro involves combining human motivation, characteristics, or behavior with inanimate objects, animals, plants, or natural phenomena. (Animals or Objects that act or resemble Human nature in some way)."
A bit broader than "furry", which is restricted to animals, but could be helpful in convincing people that the definition of furry art includes more than just smut and is open to all sorts of artwork.
Something feels different about this one. It feels a lot more clean and rounded.
EDIT: the definition of anthro is already in the OP silly.
Yeah, it does. Did you do something different, or have you just been practicing drawing him more?
Also, unless it's in the links (sorry, really not a fan of links, even ones I KNOW are safe because I can see the destination when I mouse over them), I don't see a clear-cut definition of "anthro" art. I see a definition of furry as involving anthropomorphic animals, but not a definition of anthro by itself. Seems like that could be very helpful to new people.
Edit: Never mind, found the definition. Just wasn't looking hard enough, disregard suggestion.
Also, one more pic.
Happy New Year, everyone (even though it's a little early here)!

haha! I LOVE the drawing in his shirt! that's hilarious xD
I've been lurking FA all night, and I've picked up a couple freebie drawings :biggrin.gif: One is still being worked on,(The artist had to go pick up a drunk friend, lol) but the other, by another streamer, is yet to be made, but I'm in the stream watching her draw someone else's request...then I'll get mine :smile.gif: Streams are fun!
I noticed a commercial on NatGeo for a programing called "Taboo" advertising a segment on a fur-suiting furry.
I wonder what this will do to the reputation of furries.
Actually, "Taboo" is very objective. I watched a few episodes, including one about "abnormal" relationships, discussing something called "objectum sexuality". One story was a man with an attraction to his car, the other was a woman in love with the Berlin Wall. The psychology behind this phenomenon was explored, and the topic was handled in a very respectful, educational, and objective way.
Depending on what sort of furries they find, this could actually be a good thing. When does it air? I would like to watch it. I am actually nowhere near as educated on furry culture as I seem, I just do cartoon anthro art and pick up furry terms here and there when people comment on my work, etc.
Yea, But unless I just quickly draw doodles on my whiteboard and post them, I'm just going to go off-topic somehow.
Then just doodle. I doubt that there's really too much enforcement of that rule. Basically, as long as it's work-safe and has something to do with something else on the thread or furry culture, you're probably fine. Comment on the art, start a topic if you like, or do like I do and respond to other people's comments if you have something to say.

Awesome. By "freebie drawings", do you mean they are giving you art for free, or that the stream is free to watch?
And yes, I should have it for you by tomorrow. However, a live stream of me drawing will never happen. My brother suggested once that I record myself sketching and speed it up (like a speed draw) and put it on my Youtube. Sounds VERY boring- and difficult to get the camera positioned correctly. But if it's a live stream, there is probably commentary? You could pick up a few tips, or at least it would be like a let's play with the artist talking about the art rather than a game.
Holding off on posting a pic until a little later today. I did put one in the "Show Off your Creative Side" thread, and mentioned I had more art posted here. We've got AJ posting some nice sketches, I've got a catalog of finished work spanning back a few years, so I think we have a shot if we could get more artists in here, even if they're just starting out.

Well, basically the livestream is the artist drawing, and there's of course a live chat too. By freebies I mean free drawings. Ironicly both freebie drawings i got are chibis lol. In the first stream I watched, The girl was in the middle of drawing my chibi, but had to leave to pick up a drunken friend. She never returned last night so the drawing hasnt been finished yet. (I'm also worried a bit on why she never came back) While I was waiting for her to come back, I stumbled across another livestream, and this artist offered me a free drawing too! She only did as far as a sketch, but she said that she may line and color it later, here it is:
*No off-topic chatter allowed*
....
Goodbye furry thread.
Kinda hard NOT to agree with him, it is hard to stay on-topic without a topic.
I thin the general topic is anthros, though.
Have another picture.
We have to, it's the reason we were locked last time.
@Lord_Dominic That's srsly awesome.
I love the fire-eyes rage face...and the face in the upper right corner is unbearably cute!
Glad you guys like my stuff, that's why I post here!

I'll get more of him up on my DA later, but I really should do that shirt design again. I think it's funny, too!
One more picture. A fox this time. I'm losing track of what I've already shared on this thread. I will have to start a list.
We're trying! Spread the word, post art, and post often!
Speaking of...
Pretty sure there's nothing wrong with this picture rules-wise. Seems extremely tame compared to other things I've seen.

The media is not exactly the greatest at reporting these types of things.
