...Still, if you compare my posts to one made by, say, Aaron, there would still be an obvious gap in skill and talent.
Preference is a factor, but not everyone has an equal capacity for making more detailed posts. Not to say people can't improve, but that doesn't happen overnight.[[Unless they stay up all night reading through the Workshop, studying every kink and flaw, referencing from various famous writers in past and present, perfecting the art of writing over the course of 12 hours...]].
Then possibly the only solution would be segregating RPers into main groups, and forcing them to RP in accordance to those groups.
You don't want a casual meeting a beyond-hardcore RPer. It's like a homeless guy to a dictator.
On RP management...
That's a nightmare in it's own right, since the only tools a creator has is to report players breaking the 'Do not disrupt RP's' rule, and as such, they must wait for a point where a player is past simply being a general annoyance and being plain disruptive.
They don't have to wait.
Look at me. I've been banned from at least four RPs for simply being annoying.

Yeah. Its sort of like racial segregation, except way easier to bypass.

Not really.
Some people like to roleplay casually, others like to do it more seriously. It's silly to put everyone into the same section. It creates disorganization, for one. There's nothing wrong with separating them into sub-sections. Certain sites do it, and it works great. No one cries elitism because, well.. it isn't.
And comparing it to racial segregation is ridiculous. All the reasons why that comparison is laughable and maybe even offensive aside, no one would be preventing casual players from making the jump into serious writing.

I'd say it's very un-ridiculous. It's pretty much the same basic idea. Split two kinds of people into two different sections of one thing. And if making a comparison is racist, then I'm sorry, but over 60% of people on this forum are racist.
Hey all you lovely Mods, think you nuked enough posts there?

Er, GG, you're using the wrong comparison.
See, if I put it in the terms you are saying, you're comparing a casual to a white guy, and an intermediate to a black guy.
However, in this case, the white guy can't become a black guy. He's always white. Forever. Your current comparison locks a person in their given level for all time, much like saying they can't improve/get worse.
I think the best comparison would be light, as light has varying intensities, so do we roleplayers have varying levels of skill/dedication, both which can be honed and can wane over time.
Idk what the heck is going on with RPing segregation and racism, But hey guys!

Saying you don't know what's going on doesn't make you look remotely interested in the discussion at hand at all >.>
Add that to the fact that you followed up with a greeting that is a breaker to conversation makes you even more conspicuous. <.<
Then you just had to pull the 'I knew that!' card.
At this rate you're just pulling the Blatant Lie trope.
At least read a bit if you plan to feign interest.
Speaking of tropes, does anyone consciously use/play them here?
The most common one is the five-man band being employed due to the harem tendencies players have in large RPs.

Read if you want, I really don't care.
What is it with you man? Just relax. You don't need to get all serious with me dude. How are you going to tell me what I am interested in and what I am not interested in? Are you me? No? Huh, That's funny! I didn't think you were! Guess I was right!
Not only that, But I legitimately want to be caught up to speed, I really don't have the time to read through 12 pages of text. No. That is not happening.
I was also being sarcastic when I said I knew that, You know how you'll say something that should have been obvious, and then the person is all
"Pfffft I knew that"
It is sarcasm.
So in short, Calm down. You don't need to be so all over my post man, you know how much time you waste by doing things like that? Honestly I did not ask you because really, I do not like you,I honestly prefer not to talk to you. I was trying to be friendly to you, but now I feel I don't need to make the effort to be nice to you at all. I mostly was asking Ozode or GG about it. I was hoping you could give me a legitimate answer as well! But uh, I guess you'd rather waste the time you could have spent on that, on informing me of my posting tendencies and reading tendencies.
*tsk tsk tsk*
You need better time management.
By the way! no need to respond to this because I will not talk to you outside of Roleplay from now on.
Anyways to be OT:
Me myself, in roleplaying, I am semi-intermediate. I really like the adventurous stuff, opposed to the trying to get you killed stuff. I like being able to go to the movies and then come back and continue from there, rather than always being on having to combat everything ya know?

Hm well, this isn't exactly the Rolodex, but that thing's gone for some reason.
Two different story lines can be very satisfying if well organized and executed.
Considering that the PoW crew were present in that RP, it was a feat that we managed to fail at all. Timezones and laziness are really bad killers, but we had almost 30 pages in OOC and a couple more in PMs all for planning and discussions.
It's a shame that Absolution(The RP, not the RPer, mind) didn't stick around long enough for you to enter the fray, but there were several running story lines then. They weren't sub-plots, they were entire plots dedicated to certain groups and peoples at a time, intertwined every now and then into the over-arching plot.
Considering we started in different cities then, it was fun building stories alongside each other, each of equal interest and dedication from their current players. If I recall, there was that guy breaking out from prison, another getting kidnapped due to some political mishap, I personally was hunting a fugitive, and then there was a group planning the assassination of a puppet duchess.
Temptation beckons, but would it be worth it to scar my immaculate Infraction bar?
Hint: Yea, definitely. Going to drop that salted bomb alright.

Your entrance was a rule breaker. I was simply trying to inform you of that fact, considering the mods aren't keen on people deviating from the rules.
Not only that, But I legitimately want to be caught up to speed, I really don't have the time to read through 12 pages of text. No. That is not happening.
You could have read the last page to orient yourself with the current discussion at hand, but chose not to. This is not an RP in which you need to read through the whole thread to get the whole story.
I was also being sarcastic when I said I knew that, You know how you'll say something that should have been obvious, and then the person is all
"Pfffft I knew that"
It is sarcasm.
Sarcasm is mockery. Sarcasm is saying "I totally, most definitely, did not know about that." What you did was hand wave a statement as though you were already fully aware of its contents.
So in short, Calm down. You don't need to be so all over my post man,
you know how much time you waste by doing things like that?
Honestly I did not ask you because really, I do not like you,I honestly prefer not to talk to you. I was trying to be friendly to you, but now I feel I don't need to make the effort to be nice to you at all.
I mostly was asking Ozode or GG about it. I was hoping you could give me a legitimate answer as well! But uh, I guess you'd rather waste the time you could have spent on that, on informing me of my posting tendencies and reading tendencies.
I am not being 'all-over' your posts. If I were, I'd be checking your content, stalking you through every thread you land on, constantly critiquing whatever you write. Those were only two posts. In this instance, I think it's you who needs to calm down.
My time is my own, I determine whether it's being wasted or not. To quote;
Are you me? No? Huh, That's funny! I didn't think you were! Guess I was right!
Your question was not directed at anyone in particular. Your question wasn't even a question. It was a greeting. To boot, I'm not here for popularity, I don't need you to be nice to me. But oh wait, you have to, cause guess what? "Be Polite!"
The 'legitimate answer' you sought was literally a post above you. Roleplayers of varying skills and preference.
Now again, you accuse me of wasting my time, when in fact, it is you who wastes yours by not spending it on something worthwhile, such as, oh, I don't know, reading the last few posts to gain an answer to your question? Your posting and reading tendencies are no concern of mine, but you're being lazy if the answer is right in front of you and you refuse to read it.
*tsk tsk tsk*
You need better time management.
By the way! no need to respond to this because I will not talk to you outside of Roleplay from now on.
Hrm, wait, I'm pretty sure I mentioned something about this.
Oh right, "Be Polite!"
And yet here you are, insulting my time management skills. Not very polite, are we?
Oh, the irony as well, when you yourself wasted your time writing a four paragraph response instead of dropping the subject and simply moving on.
But maybe I do need better time management. Though, I think you're worse off, since it seems you need better anger management.
TL;DR, as a favor, since I now know you're pretty lazy.
Your entrance was a rule breaker, an attempt to begin a chat, something that's already been established as a thing not to do.
Your second post yet again failed to contribute anything to the current discussion, instead adopting, yet again, a chat-like message.
Due to your apparent laziness, you failed to check posts right before yours to even get a grip on the current discussion. There is also a chance that you purposefully did so in an attempt to seek a chat within a thread where chatting is disallowed.
You then proceeded to break the be polite rule by repeatedly insulting me within a spoiler, feeling hot and bothered at the undue attention you were receiving from me because you were, in fact, guilty.
My sarcasm wasn't really a form of mockery and you know that.
Heh I did read through the page before i had asked. I just didnt fully understand it therefore further explanation could be helpful when its asked for.
Ill admit me saying you were all over my posts is a strong over exaggeration. I will be apologizing for that.
Is "what the heck is going on?" Not a question? I feel like it is, even if it is in a greeting post, it is still a question.
Wasnt really insulting your time management. More recommending you dont spend the time you have correcting me or whatever. But since i prefer not to fight i will apologize for that too.
Yea i am pretty lazy, but i am only 15 so that is okay. I play outside and stuff. I feel like i am lazy when effort isnt needed.
Again i have yet to insult you cloud. I feel like you have a tenious grasp on the concept of an insult in general. That isnt an insult either before you call it one. Its just how I respond to you saying i need anger management. Which i dont by the way.
Okay i think youve made a point, general chatting is bad. No bueno. I get it.
Coward? For not wanting a flame war on a forum for players of a rated everyone game.
Hmmm but for the sake of ending an argument that i hope doesnt go on any longer.
I am sorry for my behavior. You are right. I am wrong. I come into every thread saying "hey guys" or something related to that, my flaw.
I am sorry that i am a coward, i am sorry i am a lazy 15 year old with dislexia that finds it hard to read certain things which is why i prefer not to read so much. Ugh i have to have my brother help me read the rp's sometimes.
I am sorry for suggesting better time management.
And i am sorry for my friendly childish sarcasm.
((Ps took me about 35 minutes to type all of that. Needed my brothers help edittng out mistakes that i made due to my dislexia which makes it hard for me to read.))
