Axel nods, hearing every word he smiles. He walks around the table and pulls an unused chair closer. He sits down in it and wipes the tear away. "Yes, you can. I don't really mind the company and I won't leave you alone. I know the pain of being alone, and I won't allow you to feel it when I can stop it." He smiles at her, keeping the blush from his face as his eyes become silver once more, showing happiness. Axel curses himself mentally, he curses himself because he is unable to pick between Xenia and her, unable to tell Dendril how he feels without hurting her.
((Somehow I forsee both girls in pain))
Dendril smiled at him and took his hand in hers "Then I'm going to strive to become stronger, that way I can hunt monsters with you on near-equal footing. Too bad Dante closed down the Arena though. Want to go to Demeter after this? I would very much like to meet her." Dendril asked him and she smiled thinking about becoming stronger so she could go on hunts and quests with Axel and not be considered one of the weak newbies. She hoped at least she was strong enough to protect him as she was now, the previous fight at the river kind of put a dent into how she felt about herself and her fighting techniques.
'Why do I feel like such a girl around him?' Dendril thought to herself, 'Well he has no idea how good I feel when I'm in his arms, I hope he picks me but I can't control his heart nor would I want to.'
Despite herself she wondered if Demeter could help in the dress- department. She would not want to go to Aphrodite for fear of something strapless, breast showing, tummy showing and butt hanging out. She rather liked green and longer that actually had some degree of usefullness and utilitarian but still have a degree of Fashion. Possibly knee length so she can wear boots and climb easily.
'Who would climb in a dress anyways, would that look too weird?' Dendril thought to herself.

"Yuuki, get back soon," I murmer hearing the call from my table. I stand feeling a bit glum and under the weather and turn to leave the mess hall. I'll talk with Dante later if he wants to, but I just want to not be where everyone else is talking excitedly about the dance. Making my way to the arena, I take out my bow to begin shooting, when I get a chance I should learn to use a sword basically as well as knives if I have time. I've finished a round and retrieve my arrows only to start again.
I grin, still in my cabin. I found a room full of amps near the back. One aux wire and iPod later, I hook it all up. I brush off my black Passion Pit t-shirt, slipping on a pair of sunglasses I found. As "Global Concepts" by Robert DeLong pumps through the speakers, I feel the bass through the floorboards, making my whole body shake. I was immensely enjoying the percussion as I mouthed along with the words. I was being a huge dork in my cabin, I even had the red paint wave that DeLong had in the music video. It's so weird how much fun you can have by yourself sometimes. At the end of the song, I stepped or of my cabin, wondering where everyone was. Looking out at the pavilion, I realized that I was missing lunch and I sprinted over to the pavilion.
After my conversation with Melissa, who I can consider a friend/sister now. Although, there is yet another problem. I keep hearing about a dance after some guys are done with a quest. Don't know what though. 1. I won't have a date, I'll probably go with Brooks or alone, 2. I'll need something to wear, 3. How am I going to hide a spear in a dress? Tyton is still on my shoulder and he hoots and flies in front of me. "Who are you going with?" he hoots again. "I'm asking you. Who who who?" he hoots again, "You can go with me as my companion. How's that sound?" he flies high in the air and swoops down to land on my arm. "I'm gonna go kill so straw dummies, wanna come with?" I tell him, he nods. "Okay then."
We go to the Arena and I knock and slash at straw dummies with my spear and shield. I found a good one in the Armory that goes with my spear and me perfectly. I wear my helmet too. Tyton seems to be having fun too. He uses his newly sharpened talons, watch out, to scratch what he can of the dummies until all of the straw is on the floor.
I looked above me. The sky was directly overhead. "Oh no!" I said. "I'm missing lunch! Tyton, follow!" I ran to the Dining Pavilion, just in time before anyone had finished their lunches. Although, they were halfway through it. Tyton found himself a mouse and I got myself a cheese burger and some french fries. I was craving American fast foods. I got an iced tea with it and I must say it was awesome.
I look over and find Brooks running to me. "Hey, Olive!" he ran to me at the table. "Who are you going with to the dance? Did you hear?" I looked up at him from my plate, "Probably Tyton," I gesture to my shoulder. "Or if you mind, I could go with you or alone. Nobody really cares you know. It's just a dance, when I don't know how to dance or flirt or anything." I take a sip from my iced tea. "Oh, okay." he replied. "I gotta go get a dress ready so I don't need to anymore when the dance 'arrives." I make quotation marks in the air. "Nice seeing you." I stand up with Tyton and walk to the Athena Cabin.
(( Question. I know the dance has been held back because of the Quest. I came here and the Quest was already being done. What was/is the Quest anyways? I hear about a Giant, not my character, but I just want to know. ))
((Sorry guys, I usually post that time from school on my phone but I forgot my phone today.))
Ricky flashes a grin in his direction and nods assent. Pointing to himself and to the left of the giant, he murmurs quietly to Aaron, "You take the right,"
Creeping quietly closer to the left of the giant, and holding out his sword, he tenses, prepared to jump out as Aaron gives a signal.
I quickly nod to him and creep around. The giant was still trying to investigate the noise frustratingly. With my sword drawn and raised I gesture to Ricky in a go go! towards the giant. I rush in, barely making a noise with my steps and bring down my sword on the giant's shin. A large bellow of pain is heard echoing off throughout the cave and probably two kilometers out from it.
Dendril smiled at him and took his hand in hers "Then I'm going to strive to become stronger, that way I can hunt monsters with you on near-equal footing. Too bad Dante closed down the Arena though. (( At the moment, Axel is leaning towards Dendril because Xenia hasn't made an effort to contact him again. ))
Axel smiles as his hands are taken into hers and he nods. "Sure.. I guess we can go visit Demeter after the food. Considering your mother is Gaia, Demeter would be the closest resembling in powers, so she might be able to help you in that department..." Axel sighs "I don't understand why people are obsessed with powers. I have no powers of my own, I just have a weapon that sucks in shadows, yet I'm one of the most skilled in the camp. You know... Powers are the lazy way out. Now I see why people like them so much. Why spend years training to become one of the best when you can just cheat with powers?" He shakes his head and sighs.

(( You can go with Skale. He just broke up with his girlfriend and legit is lonely. ))
As you (forgot your IC name) walk towards the Athena cabin, Skale walks into view and nearly stumbles into you before turning, twirling, and falling at the last second. He sighs and flips his longish brown hair from his eyes (like, nearly at his shoulder) and he lays down at the floor, staring at the sky with an empty expression. "A dance.... Okay...." He jumps back up and looks at the girl he nearly hit. "My bad, didn't mean to nearly run you over, kinda happened on accident." Skale holds his hand out for a shake. "Names Skale, it's nice to meet you. Son of Poseidon and camp leader... What's your name?"
Dendril got up and pulled Axel to her so he could hear here. “That’s not why I want my powers. In the event, should you fall or get overrun somehow, I want to use the strength of the trees to protect you. I want to be able to duel you equally, or near that on my own with my own dagger and knives, but I also want to protect you and that which you care for.” Dendril’s eyes were serious on this. “Also to a lesser extinct, I don’t want to be the damsel in distress when some wacko fish boy trys to murder me with sea and lake creatures because I killed a fish.” Dendril stated, absolutely hating the idea of being a Damsel in Distress. She then continued. “And I do believe you have powers of your own that you have yet to discover, and I believe it comes from accepting yourself instead of proving yourself.” Dendril then placed her hand on Axel’s heart. “I don’t think Demeter and Poseidon would have trusted you with such a mission otherwise.” She then moved his hair behind his ears. Before anything could be said and done from there, Dendril took the fish she got for Muro. “I must feed Muro less he goes hunting on his own, we wouldn’t want that now would we?”

Axel shrugs. "Muro is a wild animal, it can hunt as much as it pleases." He crosses her arms and sighs. "You can justify the powers as much as you want, it doesn't matter in my mind. They make you depend on a god or goddess too much, and that is not at all what I enjoy doing. I prefer to just depend on my skill... And you won't be reaching my level, most likely ever. Not because you are weak or anything, but because I practice almost everyday, and I've been practicing for the past four years. Powers won't help you with that at all... Powers will only take away from your natural skill. Take Skale for example. If he had kept up with his sword work instead of depending on his abilities from his father, he'd be up there with Dante and I, but for some reason, he just hid behind his powers." Axel sighs "To one his or her own I guess."
Dendril got silent and felt a mixture of hurt and disbelief, but most of all she felt confusion. What happened to make him feel so strongly against powers? Did someone hurt Axel with their powers? Was it bad for her to have powers? So no matter what she did, whether it be training with the weapons she did know how to use or with magic, it still wouldn’t be enough? But she wanted to fight with him on equal grounds, yet he was right she wouldn’t be able to obtain his level since he trained for every day.
“I’m sorry.” She told Axel and looked down “I didn’t mean to offend you.” She put the fish back on her plate. Somehow at the moment she didn’t feel like she could do or say anything right. She began to clean up the table, in silence. When she was done, she looked up at him and decided to hide her negative feelings with a false smile
“I’ll…uhm…go wait outside.” After speaking such words she looked up at him once more, “Thank you for Lunch, it was wonderful.”
In the back of her mind, she began thinking to herself. She wondered if it were possible to contact Nyx at all, and ask her what Axel would like as a gift for the dance the following day. ‘I guess he must think me as nothing more than power-hungry. Is that all I am then? If that’s the case, then who am I?’
Before she left the building she looked around for Poseidon. Thinking she spotted him, at least from the backside, she had walked over and then apologized, “I’m sorry for killing one of your fishes I won’t do it again in this campsite but I can’t promise the same for my Eagle.” She didn’t wait for an apology and kind of bolted away not wanting to anger him if that was the real him.
When she came outside she checked on Muro, who had caught a fish of his own but had carried it onto dry land away from the water and was eating it. He had just finished and looked at her before she picked him up and hugged him somewhat. ‘What do you think boy?’ Dendril thought to herself petting her bird, ‘Do you think powers are bad? What happens when you get too old to rely on skill alone? Demigods do die of old age don’t they? But then you can’t really use power when you’re in the outside world now can you?’ She wasn’t talking to Muro and knew that by doing so he couldn’t hear her, and even if he could he wouldn’t be able to understand her.
She let her hair fall over her bird as she snuggled him like he was some kind of Teddy bear. Then she remembered something that made her happy. “That’s right, I need a brush and a spare hair tie. Hopefully I won’t be too long! Come on Muro, let’s go back to the cabin so I can get those things!” Muro squacked at her before following her to her cabin, he looked back at the door to the Pavilon. “It’s alright Muro, come on I promised Axel. Let’s go before he catches on to the surprise!”

Let’s go before he catches on to the surprise!”
Axel sighs and stands up, downing his pepsi before walking to the brazier. He gets a large burger and throws it in. "Sorry for all the trouble I caused mom. Looks like it was all in vain after all and you were right, Xenia really doesn't care." Axel laughs to himself "I met a new girl, child of Gaia, her names Dendril. She's nice and has an interest in me... She has an obsession with becoming as strong as myself and having powers." Axel grabs an apple and throws it into the brazier for Nyx. "I don't understand why people just can't be happy as they are... The girl has a new friend, plus her dad cares about her. Why does she need to know how to kill?" Axel shakes his head and turns. "Thanks for the talk mom, love you." He leaves the dining hall and climbs onto the roof, to sit in silence and wait for Dendril.
Dendril nearly tripped over her own luggage when she entered. She went through it looking for a brush and a spare hair tie. She also found a jar of poporri, one with pinecombs hazlenuts and other sweet smelling woodsy things. She got some things together, including the poupourii. She then made a dash back to the Pavilon, Muro right behind her. When she got back she nearly tripped over the stairs in front of Axel, she was able to catch herself though, saving the poupouri but dropping the brush and hair tie. She quickly picked herself up, brushed herself off and picked up the brush and hair tie before realizing she just embarressed herself in front of Axel.
She blushed and ran into the Pavillon really fast. When she got to the sacrificial fire, she threw the jar of pourpourii in. "This is for Demeter, I don't know what to get Nyx and I want to talk to her later so I can find out what would be a good gift for Axel. But don't tell him!" She said the last lines fast like she was giving a command but in reallity she wasn't she just wanted to surprise him. She ran out, back to Axel, with brush and hair tie in her hands. "I got them!" She said proudly with a big smile on her face.

Axel crosses his arms and waits for her to exit before seeing the brush and hair tie. He nods and laughs softly. "Alright, well, I guess we're going to braid my hair now. Will we be going to our 'secret' spot, or just right here?" He faces her directly and tilts his head, unsure of where to go.
"Sure" She smiled and grabbed his hands, well a hand since her other one had the brush and scrunchy. She hoped Demeter got the Poupouri so she would most likely answer Axel. "I apologize about forgetting about them earlier." She tried to drag him as if she was in a hurry. 'I get to play with Axel's hair <3' She thought to herself, smiling. "This would be easier if you werent so...heavy" She looked at him then frowned, It wasn't fair he could easily pick her up and toss her if he wanted to but he was so muscular heavy that she couldn't move him without significant amounts of effort.

Axel lets her lead, watching where they go until she turns to him and speaks. He laughs at what she says. "Sorry about being so uh... Muscular I guess." He laughs and continues to walk with her. "And don't worry about the braiding of my hair, we all forget things here and there." He smiles and tilts his head before stepping up beside her and walking along with her, his hand still in hers. "So... What kind of braids can you do? I assume from the way you act and the way you are with the environment, you are Native American, so I know you can do some kind of braiding." He gives a thumbs up. "I'm kind of interested now."
Dendril looks up at him and stops. "Actually I'm a very white girl. Not one ounce of Native American blood." She got very sad then, displayed in her eyes when she looked down, "If I was then I could be part of the tribe officially and....maybe not hate people so much." She looked up at him, there was obviously something she wasn't telling him, mainly because she didn't feel ready. "I still want to meet Demeter but it can wait until later I think then. Just not too long, I still have to figure out how to go about getting a dress." Dendril smiled at him. "Well one that makes my super tan look not so.......tannish." She smiled.

I retrieve yet another round of arrows before sighing and putting my bow away. "Dances when people are out on quests? "What should I do next?" I ask nobody sarcastically. I put my arrows in my quiver to shrink the bow and of it in my pocket. "Wonder where Posidon and Chiron got off to," I say but don't think to go search for them as I start towards the exit of the arena.

(( Got back from a very, very busy day in the summertime and tomorrow might, WILL, be even worse in that case. It's nice to finally get back here. Plus, surprising for Drone to suggest that (message above). But makes me happy, I guess. It IS a role-play. A fascinatingly addicting one too. Not the bad kind. ))
"It's fine," I assure him and smile sweetly. Tyton, my owl, flies back to my shoulder and hoots as if he were assuring me he was okay. "I'm Olivia. Nice to meet you, I'm kinda new here..." I look around and shake his hand. "Child of Athena, not much of 'em around here though. I look at the ground and a the sky. "This is my, owl, friend. Tyton." I look at Tyton on my shoulder and he stares at me and at Skale. "Anyway, are there many kids of Poseidon?" I ask.

Axel sighs "I don't understand why people are obsessed with powers.
“I must feed Muro less he goes hunting on his own, we wouldn’t want that now would we?”
...
Let’s go before he catches on to the surprise!”
...
"I got them!" She said proudly with a big smile on her face.
...
Axel watches her running and smiles as she trips, he moves to help her but sees she is able to steady himself and as she enters into the dining hall, he drops down from the roof.

(( What does Skale look like? ))
