A lot of people seem to be aware of the fact that there are a very large number of children and teenagers who play Minecraft (probably the vast majority). Some complain about it, while others say it shouldn't matter at all, but few actually see it as a good thing.
The fact is, this forum is perhaps the largest classroom in the world, and not only that, it's one in which children WANT to be. That is amazing, to me. There are children learning how to create, how to lead and even how to code. All while being alongside adults who expect them to behave a certain way, and treat them no differently from their peers. This is ultimately preparing them for adult life in ways their teachers and parents probably will never understand, let alone be able to do themselves.
I agree completely with this. I don't have any sort of constructive addition onto this, because I'm borderline stupid.
I'm a teenager myself, and I can see how Minecraft is a great game for little kids. If there is a Minecraft equivalent, or even Minecraft itself when I have my own, They'll be sure to play it.

Children in Minecraft are awesome because they don't know that I'm actually giving them a bad deal when I offer them meager wages to join my clan of bandits. They're also easily impressionable, so I can brainwash them effectively.
They would undeniably have to respect mods and admins both in and off game, therefore, yes, it does teach them somehow to respect authorities perhaps in a more casual form than being severely scolded as it would happen in real life.
Minecraft is a great game for little minds because it increases the creativity, and this is its most virtuous factor that couldn't be in any way denied.
Like DarthTrogo said, I agree with both sides of the argument. Sure, they can be annoying the $#!7 out of you, but that is just because they are kids, and they will learn. You probably went through that stage, too.

Click the above image for science! Some people think it's a scam. But it's not. Why else would I put this in my sig?
Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door is by far the world's best Nintendo game ever made.

I think that, when it comes to people who grief and spam, it's actually far more likely to be attributable to personality, rather than age. For many of those people, griefing and spamming is an attempt to make the situation less serious, and they don't even see it as being mean to other people. For others, it is a way of taking out their frustrations on people that don't matter to them. But saying that there is a correlation between immaturity and age is a fallacy far older than Minecraft. I would have thought that would have been common knowledge by now.

You still need kids with that kind of attribute, not every kids are like this.
most of them are just playing the game for fun, no good, no bad, i guess.
People need to remember kids aren't the only butthurt, whiny people on the internet, plenty of adults are the same. People also need to remember that kids aren't all whiny and annoying. A lot are quite mature and people need to stop judging people by their age.
Fair point, however, the amount of immature adults is small, whereas the immature kids greatly outnumber that. I disagree with 'a lot are quite mature'. Maybe one or two, but most kids are immature brats.

Kids are a good thing in Minecraft.
'HAKERRRRRR!!!!!! UR A HAKER! HAVE AIMBOT U HAKER!'
'No, I just am better at pvp.'
Muahahaha.
Butthurt teenagers and/or adults aren't very rare on the Internet.

What are trying to do?
I like to play games, I like to laugh maniacally when playing games.
Putting the "infant" in "infantry", my boy.
1. Little boys constantly sexually harass any girls they come into contact with.
2. Kids are the main people who grief.
3. Kids are also the most common power abusers (op, admin, etc)
4. Kids follow, stalk, and harass Youtubers the second they see them.
Yep, kids are amazing to have in this game.
